McPherson vs. #9 Friends tabbed as College Fanz Sports Network’s NAIA Game of the Week
McPherson, Kan. — McPherson College will match up against #9 Friends University in week three of the inaugural season of College Fanz Sports Network’s NAIA game of the week. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast live over the internet at www.collegefanz.com, with a link to the event available at www.macbulldogs.com.
 Along with the coverage of the game, College Fanz Sports Network is giving $1,000 to each of the participating school’s general scholarship funds.
“This is great for our college, its programs, the community and our football program,” said McPherson College head coach Brian Ward. “We hope that we can put on a good show, and show everyone what Bulldog pride is all about.”
McPherson opened the year with a 61-6 victory over Haskell Indian Nations University, showing an impressive display of balanced offense and tough defense. The win was the Bulldogs third in a row against the Indians.
This Saturday’s contest will be the season opener for defending KCAC champion Friends University. Friends enters the season ranked ninth in the NAIA and at the KCAC football media, the Falcons were selected as an overwhelming favorite to win the KCAC.
College Fanz, founded by Bill Rasmussen, provides coverage of all levels of collegiate sports.
