| Students travel to Greece during January 06 Interterm Trip

McPherson College students visited ancient sites such as this one at the Parthenon in
Athens, Greece. The Smiths led two successive groups, one of students and the other of alumni
and friends of the college, to study the sites of ancient Greece in January Interterm, 2006.

Group participants stand in front of a monument at the Oracle of Apollo at Delphi.

Students traverse the winding stairways at a medieval monastery in Meteora.

Students stand at the original stadium at Olympia where the games were founded in 776 BCE.

McPherson College women, decked out in required monastic attire, pose for a photo before entering a monestary perched on top of a mountain in Meteora, Greece.

Student Bryan York visits with children at the Ark School in Athens. Under the care
of an Orthodox Greek priest who founded the school to care for indigent refugee children
from Eastern European countries, the Ark outfits children with clothing, feeds them a
daily meal, and provides tutoring for homework and learning the Greek language.
Both McPherson College groups took gifts of school supplies and money for the school.
