Guidelines for Journalism Portfolio
- Five hundred word introduction summarizing your journalism experience and your goals and motivation for earning a degree in multimedia communication/journalism.
- Work samples that include
- Three-five articles or essays representing your best reporting or writing.
- Up to six elective items that demonstrate the breadth of your skills, for example, photos, story packages, page designs, edited copy, infographics, cartoons, illustrations, audio or video clips, Web site designs, or multimedia presentations.
- The journalism portfolio may be submitted in either hard-copy or digital format.
Guidelines for Digital Multimedia Portfolio
- Five hundred word introduction summarizing your multimedia experience and your goals and motivation for earning a degree in multimedia communication/journalism.
- Work samples that include
- Three-five projects that demonstrate your skills in multimedia, for example, photo essays, infographics, cartoons or illustrations, audio or video clips, Web sites, Flash objects, digital movies, or multimedia presentations.
- Two-four articles or essays that represent your best reporting or writing.
- The multimedia portfolio may be submitted on CD or DVD.
