Music Scholarship

Music Scholarships are awarded to qualified students (regardless of major) who participate in music through College Choir, College Band, or piano lessons. The music scholarships are renewable for 4 years and may be combined with other scholarships (Dean’s Scholarship, athletic awards, art and theater scholarships, etc.).

Students who would like to be considered for a Music Scholarship should complete an application for admission to McPherson College. An online application is available here. AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: One or two contest style pieces performed on primary instrument or voice.

• Pieces should be of contrasting style.
• A copy of music must be provided to faculty at time of audition.
• Memorization is optional.
• Rooms will be available for warm up before scheduled performance.
• The music department can provide an accompanist. If needed, please mail or fax music to the music department in advance. Fax: 620-241-8443
