Journalism Portfolio

Journalism Scholarship Day participants should bring a portfolio representing the breadth and quality of their journalism skills.

Choose one of the following skills and experiences to highlight, and complete your portfolio accordingly:

Reporting & Writing Emphasis

3-5 articles representing your best reporting and writing

Up to 6 elective items that demonstrate the breadth of your skills. Some examples include photos, story packages, page designs, infographics, cartoons.

Photojournalism Emphasis

4-6 photos representing your best photojournalism work

At least one writing sample that demonstrates your reporting and writing abilities

Up to 4 elective items that demonstrate the breadth of your skills. Examples include additional writing samples, story or page designs, infographics, cartoons, illustrations.
