Alumni Event: Camp Swatara

About 40 alumni and friends of McPherson College met at Camp Swatara, a Church of the Brethren run camp near Bethel, PA, on Sunday, October 25 for lunch and updates on the college. MC Director of alumni development, Sally Nelson, and Director of development, Anna Ruxlow, hosted the lunch, then shared updates on alumni events and programming and progress of the current MC Forward campaign. President Michael Schneider was also present to share campus updates and share his vision for moving the college forward. Folks stayed afterwards to visit with each other and enjoy the beautiful fall foliage.
Alumni Family Day at the Cider Mill Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze

Despite a cold and cloudy day, a large number of area MC alumni and their families came out to enjoy the fall festival atmosphere at the Louisburg Cider Mill and Pumpkin patch on October 11. Folks tested their navigational skills in the corn maze and had fun on the hay rides and picking out pumpkins in the pumpkin patch to take home. Hot apple cider and doughnuts made on site and served by college staff were a big hit throughout the afternoon.
Quinter Hot Dog Feed

McPherson College staff traveled to a Quinter High School football game on September 25 to host the 6th annual hotdog feed, put on in appreciation of the number of MC alumni and current students from Quinter. Staff members grilled and served up free 450 hotdogs to game attendees.
Alumni Family Day at Des Moines

McPherson College alumni and family members spent a beautiful fall afternoon together at the Living History Farms on Sunday, September 20. The group of 60 people enjoyed a first-hand experience of touring five historical time periods of farming spanning 300 + years. Refreshments were provided in the hospitality center and gave folks a chance to visit with each other.
