“Bulldog Barbeque”
Quinter, Kansas
at L. Carl Cox Football Field
In appreciation of the nearly 125 McPherson College alumni and friends living in Quinter, McPherson College expressed their thanks to the Quinter community and the Quinter Church of the Brethren for their long-standing support with a tailgate party on October 15.

In addition to the tailgate party during the Quinter vs. Oakley high school football game, McPherson College staff members visited with prospective students from Quinter High. After serving nearly 450 free hot dogs during the game, McPherson College also provided pizza for all local high school students attending a post-game gathering at a local church.
Thanks in large part to the help of McPherson College graduates Dan and Lynne Lichty, Eric and Michele Roesch-Johnson, Phil Stover, Randy Porter and others the event was a big success.
“We felt this was something McPherson College should do for the residents of Quinter, considering the significant relationship the College has had with this community over the years,” said Erik Vogel, Director of Development.
“The event was a lot of fun to do and the assistance from our alumni in Quinter made it successful. We plan to do more events like this in the future.”
