McPherson, Kan. – McPherson College has announced the addition of 16 incoming freshman to the football program for the fall semester of the 2010-2011 school year. These 10 signed their national letters of intent on national signing day, February 3, 2010.

Six Bulldogs named to College Fanz Sports Networks 2009 NAIA Football All-American Team

McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson College football team had six players selected to the College Fanz Sports Network’s 2009 NAIA Football All-American Team, as voted on by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) football coaches and the College Fanz Football Game of the Week broadcast team. This is the ninth year for this award.

Ward named 2009 College Fanz Sports Network Coach of the Year

McPherson, Kan. – McPherson College head football coach Brian Ward was announced as the 2009 College Fanz Sports Networks NAIA Coach of the Year in a recent release from College Fanz. This marks the first College Fanz Sports Networks Coach of the Year honor for Ward, who was selected as the NCAA Division III National Assistant Coach of the Year by the American Football Coaches Association in 2002.

NSCAA names Women’s Soccer 2009 Team Ethics Award Winner

Reece named KCAC Player of the Week for second week in a row

McPherson, Kan. – McPherson College men’s basketball senior guard Mike Reece was named as the KCAC Player of the Week for his play during the week of Jan. 4-10. This marks the second time in consecutive weeks that Reece has received the weekly honor.

Women’s Soccer receives NSCAA Team Academic Award

McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson College women’s soccer team recently received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for the 2009 season, marking the second time the Bulldogs have won this award. The team was one of 582 soccer teams (145 men’s, 337 women’s) to earn a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Tank named to NSCAA Men’s NAIA All-Plains Region Team

McPherson, Kan. – Tyler Tank has added to his list of outstanding postseason honors once again, claiming a spot on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s NAIA All-Plains Region Team. Tank was one of three KCAC players named to the team.
