McPherson Softball Tournament Cancelled

McPherson, Kan. – McPherson College’s annual softball tournament scheduled for Friday, March 12 through Saturday, March 13 has been cancelled due to poor field conditions, announced Thursday by McPherson head softball coach Mike McCormick.

Three Bulldogs set to compete at NAIA Indoor Nationals

McPherson, Kan. – Three members of the McPherson College track and field team will compete at the NAIA Indoor National Championship Meet on Thursday, March 4 through Saturday, March 6 at the ETSU Memorial Center “Mini-Dome” in Johnson City, Tenn. Johnson City has hosted the event since 2001.

McPherson, Kan. – Junior guard Kristen Ozbun was named to the All-KCAC honorable mention team, while freshman forward Shireana Robinson earned an All-Freshman team selection in a recent vote by the conference coaches.

Four Bulldogs named Men’s Basketball All-KCAC

McPherson, Kan. – Senior guards Mike Reece and Marlon Dominique, along with senior forward Antowine Lamb were named to the All-KCAC first team in a recent vote by the conference coaches. McPherson’s three selections was the most first team members by any KCAC school. Sophomore guard Aaron Fazier was nominated to the Honorable Mention squad, while Dominique and Lamb were selected to the All-Defensive team.

Bettasso named McPherson College Head Football Coach

McPherson, Kan. – Interim head coach Joe Bettasso has been named the head football coach at McPherson College. The announcement was made official Wednesday afternoon at a meeting with the current Bulldog football players and coaching staff.

McPherson announces Brian Ward’s resignation as Head Football Coach

McPherson, Kan. – The McPherson College Athletics Department announced Tuesday morning that head coach Brian Ward has resigned his post effective Feb. 28. Ward, hired Dec. 8, 2006, has accepted an assistant coaching position at North Dakota State University.

16 sign with McPherson Football on National Signing Day

McPherson, Kan. – McPherson College has announced the addition of 16 incoming freshman to the football program for the fall semester of the 2010-2011 school year. These 10 signed their national letters of intent on national signing day, February 3, 2010.
