Preseason picks to finish at the tail end of the KCAC under first year head coach Tim Swartzendruber, the Bulldog men were one of the surprises in what would be an unpredictable year in the 10-team conference, ending the season in a tie of sixth place.

Season Recap
Three overtime losses in the final half of the season, left McPherson College with a final record of 16-13.  While disappointing to be so close to what could have been a 19 or 20 win season, in the end it was a testimony to the grit of an undersized pack of Bulldogs and coach Roger Trimmell.

Senior Shawn Young received first team and All-Defense honors while senior Mitch Arnett was named to the men's honorable mention squad. 2008 was Young's second time to be named to the KCAC All-Defense team.

The Bulldogs won their first game in the KCAC post-season tournament, but fell in the conference quarterfinals to NAIA national qualifier Friends, in overtime finishing at 14-15 for the season.
