Signings
The following is a list of all signings for the 2006-2007
season starting with the most recent signing.
Salina
's White inks with Mac basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Norman “Mike” White of Salina, Kan., to a
basketball letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.

Mike White
is joined by his father Mike and grandmother, Kay White, along with
Roger Trimmell, McPherson College head men's basketball coach, for
his letter of intent signing with the Bulldogs.
The 5'10”, 150-pound White
was named the Most Valuable Performer of the Salina Invitational
Tournament, and honorable mention All-State selection. This past
season, White was a first team All-Saline County selection, second
team All-Area pick by the Salina Journal, and third team All-AVCTL
pick.
“Mike brings a very solid
fundamental approach to the game after playing for Coach Denny Wahlgren
at Salina South High School,” added McPherson College head men's
basketball coach, Roger Trimmell. “He is an excellent perimeter
shooter and can also lead the fast break from the point guard slot.”
“We're pleased to have Mike
join our program and become part of our campus community at McPherson
College.”
In his final prep season,
White averaged 17.1 points per game. He received South High's Mr.
Hustle award and was named the Cougars' MVP.
As a sophomore, White set
a Salina South school record hitting 53% of his 3-point attempts
for coach Dennis Wahlgren.
Mike is the son of Mike and
Tammy White of Salina, Kan.

Moore
signs with Mac basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Charles Moore II of San Antonio, Texas, to
a basketball letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The
6'4”, 157-pound lettered two years in basketball under coach Dwayne
Gerlich and one in track & field at Theodore Roosevelt High
School in San Antonio.
“We are pleased to announce
the signing of Charles Moore II to a basketball letter of intent,”
said McPherson College head men's basketball coach, Roger Trimmell.
“Charles comes to McPherson College with a solid fundamental background
from Roosevelt High School in San Antonio.”
“At 6'4", Charles brings
a good combination of inside and outside skills along with being
a tenacious defender.”
“We look forward to having
Charles join the Bulldog basketball program."
Charles is the son of Charles
T. Moore of San Antonio , Texas , who played basketball for Southern
Illinois University from 1977 through 1982.

Young
inks with Mac basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Shawn Young of Colorado Springs, Colo., and
Trinidad State College to a basketball letter of intent for the
2006-2007 school year.
The 5'10”, 160-pound Young
was a 2005 graduate of Pomona High School in Arvada, Colo. As a
senior a Pomona HS, he received all-conference honorable mention
recognition as he averaged 10 points, three rebounds, and two assists
a game for coach Bob Hicks.
At Trinidad State College,
Young averaged 7.8 points and 2.6 rebounds a game for coach Rich
Holden while shooting 43.8% from beyond the 3-point arc.
“Shawn is a bullet-quick
guard,” added McPherson College head men's basketball coach, Roger
Trimmell. “A tenacious defender, Shawn will really push the ball
in the Bulldog break.”
“I look for Shawn to make
an immediate contribution next fall.”
Shawn is the son of Barbara
Young of Colorado Springs, Colo. He plans to major in sociology
at McPherson College.

Ybarra
signs with Mac basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of John Ybarra of San Antonio, Texas, to a basketball
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'1”, 170-pound Ybarra
received first team All-District as well as All-City and All-Region
recognition following his senior season as Sidney Lanier High School.
He was an academic all-district selection for three years.

In his final season at Lanier
High School in San Antonio, Ybarra averaged 14.3 points, 10.4 rebounds,
3.5 assists, and 3.2 steals per game for coach Rudy Bernal.
“We are very pleased to announce
the signing of John,” added McPherson College head men's basketball
coach, Roger Trimmell. “John comes from a good program at Lanier
High School. He is fundamentally sound and a good scorer, rebounder,
and a solid defensive player.”
“John is a versatile player
and comes to us with numerous high school honors.”
John is the son of Juan and
Sylvia Ybarra of San Antonio, Tex.

Stevenson
inks with Mac basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Jared Stevenson of Broken Arrow, Okla., to
a basketball letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'4”, 220-pound Stevenson
was Broken Arrow 's team captain his senior season under coach Rusty
Stecker, and was named a Jim Thorpe High School All-American.

Two hours after his signing,
Stevenson scored 10 points and was named MVP as he helped the Suburbans
defeat the Urbans, 70-61, in the Jim Thorpe All-Star game held in
Tulsa, Okla.
“McPherson College's men's
basketball program is please to announce the signing of Jared Stevenson,”
added McPherson College head men's basketball coach, Roger Trimmell.
“Jared plays the game with
a great deal of enthusiasm. He has been well-schooled in the fundamentals
of the game. He is a solid all-around player, excelling at defense,
rebounding, passing, and scoring around the basket.”
A 2006 graduate of Broken
Arrow High School , Jared is the son of Christina and Tyler Stevenson
of Broken Arrow.

Arnett
signs with Mac basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Mitch Arnett of Medicine Lodge, Kan., and
Pratt Community College to a basketball letter of intent for the
2006-2007 school year.
The 6'4”, 230-pound Arnett
was a two-sport all-state performer for the Medicine Lodge Indians.
Mitch
Arnett is joined for his letter of intent signing by McPherson College
head coach Roger Trimmell.
As a senior he averaged 18
points and 10 rebounds per game for coach Josh Axline.
He received all-state basketball
recognition as a junior and senior, and in football received all-state
recognition his final three prep seasons.
At Pratt Community College,
Arnett averaged five points and four rebounds a game for coach Trevor
Rolfs.
“We are pleased to announce
the signing of Mitch,” added McPherson College head men's basketball
coach, Roger Trimmell. “After a standout high school career at Medicine
Lodge, he has played the past two years at Pratt Community College
”
“With Mitch's experience
in the Jayhawk Conference, he should step in and immediately help
us with rugged play and provide an inside presence in the KCAC.”
“Mitch will be a good addition
to our campus community here at McPherson College.”
A 2004 graduate of Medicine
Lodge High School, Mitch is the son of Jan and Steve England of
Newton , Kan. He plans to major in business at McPherson College.

Bradley
inks with Mac basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Scott Bradley of Chickasha, Okla., to a basketball
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.

Scott
Bradley is joined by Roger Trimmell, McPherson College head men's
basketball coach, for his letter of intent signing.
The 6'8”, 225-pound Bradley
averaged 18 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 3 assists as a senior
for Chickasha High School where he played for his father, Dewayne
Bradley.
As a prep, he received All-State
honors and All-Conference first team recognition, was named “Newcomer
of the Year”, and was selected to the Grady County All-Star team.
“We are very pleased to announce
the signing of Scott to our men's basketball program,” added McPherson
College head men's basketball coach, Roger Trimmell.
“At 6'8”, Scott brings versatility
to the Bulldogs with a combination of inside and outside skills.”
“With two years of college
experience at Southwestern Oklahoma State , Scott is expected to
make an immediate impact for the McPherson College roundballers.”
A 2003 graduate of Chickasha
High School , Bradley has attended Southwestern Oklahoma State at
Weatherford the past two years where he played for Scott Reed.
Scott is the son of Dewayne
and Nancy Bradley. He plans to major in physical education at McPherson
College .
