Signings
The following is a list
of all signings for the 2008-2009 season starting with the most
recent signing.
Underwood
commits to McPherson
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Jared Underwood of San Antonio, Texas, and
Karen Wagner High School to a basketball letter of intent for the
2008-2009 school year.
The
6'2” Underwood was named Wagner High's “Best All-Around” player
as the Thunderbird's were 35-4 overall, 26-5A District champions
and regional finalists his senior season.
As a junior, Jared led Wagner
in free throw and three-point percentage.
“Jared is a very talented
athlete,” said McPherson men's basketball coach Tim Swartzendruber.
“We expect him to compete for varsity time as a shooting guard.”
“Jared has competed against
very strong competition in San Antonio , and I believe that will
help him make the adjustment to college basketball.”
A member of Wagner High's
chapter of the National Honor Society, Underwood is the son of Raymond
and Donna Underwood of San Antonio , Tex.

Allison
inks with McPherson basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Lane Allison of Greensburg, Kan., to a basketball
letter of intent for the 2008-2009 school year.

Joining
Lane Allison for his letter of intent signing were (front, left)

assistant coach Josh Dellenbach, along with (back) his parents Debbie
and Alan Allison, and McPherson College athletic director LaMonte
Rothrock.
The 6'1” Allison averaged
10 points per game for the Greensburg Rangers who qualified for
the Class 1A state tournament in 2008 after finishing 2007 as sub-state
runners-up.
“We are pleased to have Lane
join our basketball program,” said McPherson head coach Tim Swartzendruber.
“He is a fine athlete and an outstanding student. I believe
he will be a great fit for McPherson College.”
Lane is the son of Alan and
Debbie Allison of Greensburg, Kan. He plans to major in mathematics.
Lane's sister Alana played
volleyball at Bethany College between 2000 and 2004.
