MC women lose to Tabor

McPherson College's women appeared to have left their emotion in Wichita.
The Bulldogs, coming off Thursday's exhilirating overtime victory over Friends, didn't have much in the tank in the first half here Saturday night and wound up losing to Tabor, 75-57.
The Bulldogs were blitzed for 46 points in the first half, as Tabor came out firing. Mac did get outscored by just a point in the second half.
Tabor scored the final 10 points of the first half to take the starch out of the Bulldogs, 46-29, and Mac never got closer than 13 in the second half.
Erica Alvarez led the Bulldogs with 13 points, while Andi Wilder added 11. Mac hit just 34 percent for the game and was outrebounded, 47-36.
Erica Hemmert and Rachelle Wertenberger led Tabor with 16 points.
The win kept Tabor in fourth place at 8-6 in the conference. Mac is now 5-9, 11-11 overall.
The Bulldogs travel Thursday to Kansas Wesleyan, still looking for its first KCAC success of the year.
