The following is a list of signings for the 2007-2008 season
starting with the most recent signing.
Teeters
inks with Lady Bulldog basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Jamie Teeters of Little River, Kan., to a
basketball letter of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.

Joining
Jamie Teeters for her letter of intent signing were (front) her
parents Dalene and Donald Teeters, along with (back, left) Little
River HS assistant coach Susan Raleigh and Little River head girls'
basketball coach Shane Cordell.
The 5'6” Teeters was a
two-year letter winner at Little River High School for future Hall
of Fame coach Shane Cordell and assistant Susan Raleigh (MC'78).
As a senior she averaged 6.2 points, four rebounds, two steals and
2.1 assists per game.
“Jamie is another of our
Presidential Scholars,” said McPherson College admissions counselor
Matt Pfannenstiel. “Coach Cordell said we are getting a hard working,
team oriented player, a great leader on and off the court.”
“Jamie has already shown
her enthusiasm for the move to the collegiate ranks by coming over
to play in ‘pick-up' games with the members of the team who are
here for the summer.”
Jamie is the daughter of
Donald and Dalene Teeters of Little River, Kan. Jamie plans to major
in business at McPherson College.

LaJoie
signs with Lady Bulldog basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Micah LaJoie of Atchison, Kan., to a basketball
letter of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.

Micah
LaJoie is joined for her letter of intent signing by (front) her
parents Diane and Mike LaJoie along with (back, left) her brother
Lucus and Atchison HS head girls' basketball coach Kody Kasselman.
The 5'7” LaJoie was a three-year
letter winner in basketball at Atchison High School for coach Kody
Kasselman. As a senior she averaged 5.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, one
assist, and one steal.
“Micah will be a welcome
addition to the Lady Bulldog basketball program,” said McPherson
College associate director of admissions David Barrett. “We look
forward to Micah adding excitement and passion to what should be
a tremendous season.”
Micah is the daughter of
Mike and Diane LaJoie of Atchison, Kan.

Carlisle
signs with Lady Bulldog basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Chelsea Carlisle of Limon, Colo., to a basketball
letter of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.

Chelsea
Carlisle is joined by her mother Terri Carlisle for her letter of
intent signing.
The 5'7” Carlisle was twice
an all-conference basketball selection for Liberty High School,
receiving post-season honors as a sophomore and senior under coach
Brad Oyler.
In her final prep season,
Carlisle averaged 14 points, three steals, and two assists a game.
This past season, Carlisle
averaged 12 points, three assists, and two steals for Penn Valley
College in Kansas City, Mo., under coach Becky Monakino.
“Chelsea is a fantastic perimeter
shooter that will give the Bulldogs the ability to stretch the defense
and take a lot of pressure off or our inside players,” said McPherson
College associate director of admissions Dave Barrett. “Chelsea
will also give us another experienced player that has competed at
a high level. We are looking forward to her contributions
on the court and in the campus community".
Chelsea is the daughter of
Paul and Terri Carlisle of Liberty, Mo. She plans to major in psychology.

Hempe
signs with Lady Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Kelsey Hempe of Wichita Kan., and Wichita
North High School to tbasketball and track & field letters of
intent for the 2007-2008 school year.
Hempe was earned honorable
mention All-Wichita City League recognition in basketball as a senior
under coach LaToya Randle, and was named All-GWCL in the shot put
her freshman and sophomore years at Wichita North for track &
field coach Alton Davis.
Chelsea is a recipient of
the McPherson College highest academic award, the Presidential Scholarship.
“Kelsey has great potential
for improvement in the shot put,” said Tim Wesselowski, McPherson
College track & field throws coach. “She is a very intelligent
young lady and has a great personality.”
“Kelsey will be a good addition
to our throwers crew.”
“Kelsey has announced her
intention to participate in both women's basketball and track next
year,” said Dave Smith, McPherson College head track and cross-country
coach. “She participated in the Kansas state track & field championships
this past weekend in the shot and narrowly missed qualifying for
the Class 6A finals.”
“Kelsey is a Presidential
Scholar and will be a great fit for the McPherson College community.
We're looking forward to having her as part of our teams next season.”
Kelsey
is the daughter of Bryan and Rebecca Hempe of Wichita, Kan.
She will major in elementary education at McPherson College.

Turner
inks with Lady Bulldog basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Tecie Turner of Scott City, Kan., to a basketball
letter of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.

Tecie
Turner is joined for her letter of intent signing by (right to left)
her parents Richelle Sims, Jim and Jennifer Turner.
The 5'10” Turner was a
three-year starter and letter winner in basketball. She also lettered
three years in track and twice in cross-country at Scott Community
High School.
Tecie was named to the Mid-State
Athletic Association honorable mention squad for a second time as
a senior when she averaged 5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2 assists
a game. She blocked 25 shots her final prep season.
“We
are very excited to have Tecie on campus next year,” said
McPherson College admissions counselor Matt Pfannenstiel. “Tecie
came to campus in February for our Presidential Scholarship Day
and we knew right away she was a special individual.”
“Tecie has strong Christian
values and leadership skills that will be a great asset, both on
and off the court. She will be a great addition to the team
and our campus community.”
Tecie is the daughter of
Rachel Sims and Jim and Jennifer Turner of Scott City, Kan. She
plans to major in biochemistry/premed.

Haley
signs with Lady Bulldog basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Michelle Haley of Limon, Colo., to a basketball
letter of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.

Joining
Michelle Haley for her letter of intent signing were (front) her
parents Janet and Robert Haley, along with(back, left) Don Bailey,
Limon HS athletic director, Mark Brown, Limon HS head basketball
coach, David Barrett and Matt Pfannenstiel, McPherson College admissions
counselors.
The 5'10” Haley was a three-year
letter winner in basketball for coach Mark Brown at Limon High School
where she averaged 7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game while helping
lead the Badgers to a 24-2 record and their third straight Colorado
2A state championship.
Haley was also a two-year
letter winner in volleyball and once in track.
“We are blessed to have a
person of Michelle's character as a student at McPherson College,”
said McPherson College associate director of admissions. “Her talents
as a basketball player are a bonus. She comes from a program that
is very rich in basketball tradition and she will be a tremendous
asset to McPherson College.”
Michelle is the daughter
of Robert and Janet Haley of Limon , Colo. She plans to major in
graphic design.

Pegram
signs with Lady Bulldog basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Whitney Pegram of Silver Lake, Kan., to a
basketball letter of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.

Whitney
Pegram is joined for her signing of her Lady Bulldog letter of intent
by McPherson College head coach J.D. Gravina and McPherson assistant
Shelly Prescott.
The 6'4” Pegram was a Street
& Smith and McDonald's honorable mention All-American as a senior
and three-time All-State honoree for coach Loren Ziegler at Silver
Lake High School where she averaged 21 points and 8 rebounds a game
her senior season.
Following her graduation
from Silver Lake, Pegram played one season at Drake University,
where she blocked 53 shots in 31 games including a school record
8 against Indiana State University.
She then transferred to Seward
County Community College where she helped lead the Jim Littell coached
Saints to a 35-3 record, the Jayhawk West Conference title, a #3
national ranking, and a 5 th place finish in the 2005 NJCAA National
Tournament while averaging 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks
per game. She was then named the Region VI MVP and later first team
NJCAA and WBCA/Kodak All-American.
Last season, Pegram joined
Littell at Oklahoma State for her junior year. She was later named
the Big 12 Conference “Newcomer of the Year” and received honorable
mention Big 12 honors for head coach Kurt Budke.
Whitney led Oklahoma State
with a 14.3-point average. She was OSU's leading scorer in 14 games,
topped by a Lady Cowboys season best 34 points against the University
of Idaho. Pegram blocked a Big 12 record 10 shots in just 19 minutes
of playing time against Prairie View A&M and set an Oklahoma
State single season record with 71 blocks.
“What a great way to start
off our second recruiting class,” said McPherson College head women's
basketball coach, J.D. Gravina. “Whitney is a phenomenal player.
Her experience in the Big 12 should make her a force at this level.”
“I really like McPherson
College and the community,” said Pegram. “I just enjoy playing.
I enjoy the people here, and I'm excited that I'll be playing again.
I feel comfortable here.”
“It's nice to see a player
come to a school because she wants to enjoy the game of basketball.
This should also help us get some momentum for the rest of our recruiting
class.”
Whitney will transfer to
McPherson during the interterm and work out with Bulldogs the rest
of the year, using her final season of eligibility during the 2007-2008
season.
Pegram will major in sociology and
minor in psychology.

Allen
signs with Lady Bulldog basketball
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Carol Allen of Oskaloosa, Kan., to a basketball
letter of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.

Allen is joined for her letter of intent signing by her parents

College head coach, and Shelly Prescott, McPherson College women's
assistant coach.
The 5'7” Allen is a two-year
letter winner for coach LeAnn Tufte at Oskaloosa High School, where
she is averaging 8.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Allen is
hitting 70% of her free throws this season.
“Carol is a really great
kid,” said McPherson College head women's basketball coach, J.D.
Gravina. “From the first time I met her I felt like she was responsible,
coachable, and positive.”
“She has a nice mid-range
jump shot and is willing to work hard to continue to improve.”
Carol is the daughter of
Bill and Janet Allen of Oskaloosa, Kan. Carol plans to major in
mathematics education.
