Parks selected to head McPherson College Cheer/Dance 8/9/2007
McPherson College has announced the hiring of Anita Parks as the coach of McPherson College’s intercollegiate cheerleading/dance program.
A graduate of Oak Park High School in Kansas City, Missouri, Anita was part of Oak Park cheer squads that qualified for and placed in the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) national finals top 20.
Parks studied danced through high school, and later taught at the Liberty Dance Studio, where she competed in baton, pom pom, and dance.
Following her graduation from Oak Park High School, she attended Maple Woods Community College in Kansas City, Missouri.
“I am very pleased to have someone with Anita’s abilities and knowledge to head our cheerleading program,” said LaMonte Rothrock, Dean of Students and Athletic Director at McPherson College. “Anita has been involved with cheerleading most of her life.”
Parks will be part of the fall 2007 Leadership McPherson class.
Anita and her husband Josh ’93 are the parents of three sons and reside in McPherson.
