Troy Hernandez led the Mac harriers at Saturday’s Kansas Wesleyan Invitational with a fourth place finish in a time of 28:34. “I was kind of disappointed that my time was slower today,” said Hernandez, “but I just tried to stay with the guy from Newman.” The Bill Burke/Indian Rock Parks course didn’t yield many seasonal bests for either the men’s or women’s fields as Cloud County CC swept the individual titles in both divisions.
Bryan Grosbach finished the 8k men’s course in 31:22.86, good for 25th. For the Bulldog women, Bethany Lobmeyer ran the 5k course in 25:30.69 to finish 31st, just ahead of teammate Mandy Shobe’s 26:03.02 in 32nd. Rachel Crist rounded out the McPherson competitors with a time of 28:35.16.
