2006 Awards Ceremony

The 2006 Bulldog football team held its post-season awards banquet on December 5 at the McPherson Country Club.

Following an opening by interim coach O.C. Williams, campus minister Tom Hurst gave the invocation. Following the meal and a review of the season by sports information director Carol Swenson, coach Williams announced the following team awards as voted on by the 2006 squad:

Special recognition was given to Blake Reed for his unwavering, positive support of the team this season.

Following recognition of the senior class, the final award of the evening was the recognition of Devin Jarrett by his teammates as the “Man of the Year”. Fellow senior Jeff Balman, in making the presentation for the team, noted the sacrifices Jarrett had made “as a student, husband, and father (of two young children) in order to continue playing the sport they all loved.”

The evening was closed with comments and a benediction by Hurst.
