The following is a list of all signings for the 2006 season
starting with the most recent signing.
Dick
inks with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Joshua Dick of Longmont, Colo., to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
A 2005 graduate of Longmont
Christian, the 5'11”, 170-pounder earned All-State and All-Area
recognition in football as a senior under coach Jerry Martin. As
a junior, Dick received all-conference and all-area honors. Josh
was named Longmont Christian's football MVP following both his junior
and senior prep seasons.
A three-sport athlete, Dick
twice was named all-area in baseball in addition to receiving all-conference
honors four years. Twice named Longmont 's MVP in baseball, he was
also named the school's MVP in basketball as a senior.
“We are very excited about
added a student-athlete like Josh so late in the recruiting season,”
said McPherson head coach David Cunningham. “He and his father visited
campus in late June, and everything went well with their visit.”
“Josh is an excellent student
and after sitting out a year, he is anxious to start back to college
and resume his football career.”
“He is a good enough athlete
to help us at several positions, but right now we have him at defensive
back. With his speed, he should also help us out on special teams.”
Josh is the son of Ron and
Tammy Dick of Longmont, Colo. He plans to major in business at McPherson
College.

Barton
signs with Mac football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Andrew Barton of Fort Worth, Texas, to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'10”, 165-pound Barton
is a 2006 graduate of C.F. Brewer High School in White Settlement,
where he was a second team All-District 6-4A selection under coach
Wayne Coleman.

As a senior, he was on
the receiving end of 25 passes, good for 250 yards and a touchdown.
“We are pleased to announce
the signing of Andrew,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
“Andrew is a wide receiver who comes highly recommended. He made
a great impression when he visited campus in late July.”
“Andrew really wants to be
here and we are happy he decided to join our campus community and
football program.”
“We expect him to contribute
immediately to our JV team and to also work hard to get on the field
with the varsity as well.”
“Andrew is a quality person
and student-athlete, and you can never have enough of that type
person on your team.”
Andrew is the son of Charlene and
Dan Merryman of Fort Worth, Texas, and Brian Simmerman of Indianapolis,
Ind. He plans to major in business marketing.

Bohanon
signs with Mac football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Austin Bohanon of Wichita, Kan., to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.

The 6'0”, 190-pound Bohanon
is a 2006 graduate of Wichita Heights High School where he played
for coach Rick Wheeler.
“Austin and his father visited
campus several times,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
They both worked hard to make it possible for Austin to attend McPherson.”
“We are very pleased Austin
has decided to continue his education and football career here at
McPherson College.”
“We have worked very hard
to gain a recruiting foothold in Wichita. Heights (High School)
is a strong program and Austin played for an excellent coach in
Rick Wheeler.”
“We plan on Austin battling
for playing time at the wide receiver spot.”
Austin is the son of Stanley
and Cynthia Bohanon of Wichita, Kan. He plans to major in sociology
and/or biology/pre-physical therapy.

Akpan
inks with Mac football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Ene Akpan of Wichita, Kan., to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'1”, 190-pound Akpan
is transferring from Fort Hays State University and will have one
season of football eligibility.
A 2002 graduate of Wichita
South High School, where he played for coach Scot Koranda, Akpan
then joined the Coffeyville Community College football program under
coach Jeff Leiker.
In 2004 he transferred to
Fort Hays State University where he played for coaches Tim O'Conner
and Kevin Verdugo, seeing action in six games and notching 28 tackles
this past season.
“Ene was introduced to
McPherson and our campus Byron Sanders, former Big 10 standout at
Northwestern, who was working with our sprinters in track last spring,”
said McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
“Ene expressed a strong
desire to finish his college career on a positive note and complete
his course work on his degree.”
“We had a very good in-home
visit with Ene and his parents, and we feel good about what he can
do here at McPherson. He is an excellent athlete and will be in
the mix for a starting position in the secondary and on our special
teams.”
Enefiok is the son of Agnes
and Udo Akpan of Wichita, Kan.

Nixon
moves over to football
McPherson College has announced
that Chris Nixon, a two-year starter on the Bulldog basketball team,
will be joining the Bulldog football program for the 2006-2007 school
year.
The 5'11”, 165-pound Nixon,
who transferred to McPherson College from Waldorf College in the
fall of 2004, will have one season of football eligibility.
Following the conclusion
of the 2006 basketball season which completed the Grenada, Miss.,
native's roundball eligibility, defensive coordinator O.C. Williams
approached Nixon with the idea of playing football for the Bulldogs.
“Chris went through spring
practice with us and looked like a natural,” said McPherson head
coach David Cunningham.
“He was a great defensive
player for our basketball team and we feel he can carry that ability
over to football.”
“Chris is very raw, but he
spent the last half of the summer working out with us and playing
7-on-7 on Sundays, so that should accelerate his football development.”
Chris is the son of Dianne
White of Grenada, Miss., and is majoring in graphic design.

Stephenson
to join Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
that Brandon Stephenson of Salina, Kan. will join the Bulldog football
program for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'2”, 305-pound Stephenson
graduated from Salina Central High School in 2002. He was an All-Class,
All-State Top 11 selection as well as All-I 70 League following
his senior season at Salina Central under coach Marvin Diener as
the Mustangs grabbed the 2001 Class 5A state championship.
Stephenson played two seasons
at Coffeyville Community College where he received All-Jayhawk Conference
honors. In 2004, he was a pre-season All-American selection for
the Red Ravens as an offensive tackle under coach Jeff Lieker.
Stephenson transferred to
the University of Nebraska at Kearney in the fall of 2005, but a
pre-season shoulder injury led to season-ending surgery and his
transfer to McPherson College last January.
“We are excited about Brandon
joining our football program,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
“He is a proven player who spent two seasons in the always tough
Jayhawk Conference.”
“Brandon has been awaiting
medical clearance to resume his football career, and now that he
has it, we are glad he has chosen to finish his career at McPherson
College.”
“He may be a bit rusty from
the lay-off, and he will be making the adjustment from the offensive
to the defensive side of the ball. However, we have some quality
players at the defensive tackle now, and we can afford to bring
Brandon along slowly.”
“We expect him to be an impact
player at the D-tackle spot.”
Brandon is the son of Tim
and Nathalea Stephenson of Salina, Kan. His mother is the Lady Bulldogs'
head volleyball coach and his sister, Kendra, an All-KCAC setter
for McPherson College. Brandon 's father played basketball and baseball
at Bethany College in the late 1970's.
Brandon plans to major in
agriculture science and agriculture business at McPherson.

Ezebunwa
signs with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Chris Ezebunwa of Baker, La., to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The
5'11”, 235-pound Ezabunwa played the last two years at Central Lakes
College in Brainerd, Minnesota, under coach Lowell Searcy. A 2004
graduate of Zachary High School in Zachary, Louisiana, Chris received
first team all-conference recognition following his senior season
and was selected to the Baton Rouge All-Star team.
A three-year letter winner
in football at Zachary HS under Coach Bob Howell, Ezebunwa also
lettered two years in track.
“Chris is a native of Louisiana
, who is coming to us from Central Lakes College in Brainerd , Minnesota,”
said McPherson head coach David Cunningham. “He played running back
as a freshman at Central Lakes and moved to defensive end as a sophomore.”
“Because of our depth at
running back, we are projecting Chris as a defensive end next fall.
We also expect him to be a special teams stand out.”
“We anticipate Chris competing
for a major role on our defense right away. He is experienced, strong
and very versatile due to his background of playing multiple positions.”
“Chris comes highly recommend
as a player and person from the Central Lakes athletic department,
and we are very happy he is joining our campus community and football
program.”
Chris is the son of Doris
Alexander of Baker, Louisiana. He plans to major in education at
McPherson College.

Mayers
returns to Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
that David Mayers will be re-joining the Bulldog football program.
Mayers originally signed with the Bulldog program and attended McPherson
College the spring semester of 2005, before sitting out the 2005-2006
school year.
Mayers was a 2003 graduate
of Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Ariz, where he received all-conference
recognition his junior and senior seasons. As a senior, the 6'0”,
210-pound Mayers was credited with 86 tackles, 7 sacks, 3 caused
fumbles, 3 recovered fumbles, and 2 interceptions.
Mayers then attended Mesa
Community College for two years where he played for coach Dan Dunn.
At Mesa CC, he was credited with 82 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 caused and
2 recovered fumbles, and an interception.
“We are glad David has decided
to return to McPherson College and the Bulldog football program,”
said McPherson head coach David Cunningham. “He is a very good football
player who benefited from two years of playing experience at Mesa
Community College.”
“He will compete for playing
time at both of our safety positions and also be a key member of
our special teams.”
A physical education major
at McPherson, David is the son of Mike and Judy Mayers of Chandler
, Ariz.

Paulson
signs with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Jeff Paulson of Limon, Colo., to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'0”, 195-pound Paulson
was a 3-year letter winner in football and basketball, and 4-year
letter winner in track at Limon High School, where he graduated
in 2005.
Paulson
was named first team All-State as a running back following his senior
season under coach Mike O'Dwyer at Limon High School after being
named second team All-State as a junior. As a sophomore, he received
second team All-State honors as a cornerback.
Following his final prep
gridiron season, when he rushed for 1,438 yards and 22 touchdowns
while averaging 11.9 yards per carry and was credited with 74 tackles,
Paulson was selected as a running back for the Class 1A-3A All-Area
team.
As both a junior and a senior,
Paulson was named the MVP of the Colorado state championship football
game.
An all-conference selection
in basketball as a senior, Paulson medaled in four events at the
2005 Colorado state track & field championships, winning the
pole vault and placing fourth in the high jump in addition to contributing
legs to Limon High's second place 4x400 and fifth place 4x200 relays.
This past year Paulson attended
the University of Northern Colorado this past year where he red-shirted.
“Jeff was a high school teammate
of current Bulldog football and track standout Jordan King,” said
McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
“Jeff was a walk-on at the
University of Northern Colorado last season, but after a coaching
change at UNC in the off-season, he decided to look at McPherson.”
“Jeff had a great visit and
we're pleased he has decided to become a Bulldog.”
“Jeff is a very versatile
player who can play running back, receiver, and also contribute
on special teams. We expect him to be in the mix on offense right
away, and also will look at him on some of kick return units.”
“After a year at a large
university, I believe Jeff will flourish both academically and athletically
in McPherson's small school atmosphere. It is especially gratifying
when current student-athletes help bring in new members to the McPherson
College community.”
Jeff is the son of Jim
and Vicki Paulson of Limon , Colo. He plans to major in business
management at McPherson College.

Egley
inks with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Bryce Egley of Monument, Colo. , to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'3”, 245-pound Egley
lettered one year in football under coach Tony Ramunno.
A two-year letter winner
in wrestling at Monument's Lewis-Palmer High School , Bryce placed
eighth in the Colorado Springs Metro Championships in the heavyweight
division as a junior.
“Bryce is the second player
from Lewis Palmer High School to sign with McPherson College this
spring,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham. “Luke was a
teammate of Kalib Dyche who signed with the Bulldogs earlier.”
“Bryce will play on either
the offensive or defensive line, probably working on both sides
early on.. Once we decide where we need the most help, and where
he will have best opportunity to play, we will settle him in there.”
“Bryce really wanted to be
at McPherson as shown by his very strong finish academically his
senior year in order to be eligible to play as a true freshman.”
“The fact that he and father
liked it here so much when they visited made us feel very good about
Bryce joining our campus community and football program. We are
always looking for solid linemen and good people, and Bryce definitely
fits that category.”
Bryce is the son of Ray Egley
of Monument, Colo.

Simon
signs with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Jacob Simon of Leon, Kan., and Independence
Community College to football and track letters of intent for the
2006-2007 school year.

Jacob
Simon is joined for his letter of intent signing by his parents,
Mike and Laureen Simon, and (back) McPherson College head coach
David Cunningham.
The 6'0”, 195-pound Simon
was a four-sport letter winner at Rosalia-Flint Hills High School
from which he graduated in 2004. He was a two-time honorable mention
8-man football and basketball All-State performer for the Mustangs.
Simon was a four-time all-league and All-Grassland area performer
in football plus all-league in basketball one season.
As a senior at Flint Hills,
Simon passed for over 1,700 yards, rushed for 800 yards, and piled
up 43 touchdowns, 28 passing and 15 rushing.
Simon spent the past two
years at Independence Community College , where he played football
under coach Dave Ward.
“We are excited about Jacob
joining our program,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
“His signing gives us a solid quarterback in each of our four classes.”
“Jacob received valuable
experience playing quarterback at Independence (CC), in the rugged
Jayhawk Conference.”
“We go a first hand look
at him when Independence (CC) defeated our junior varsity team here
last October. He is both a quality student-athlete and person, and
we believe his three years at McPherson College will be good ones,
both academically and athletically.”
Jacob is the son of Mike
and Laureen Simon of Leon , Kan. He plans to major in biochemistry/pre-med
at McPherson College.

Hartle
signs with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Jonathan Hartle of Lyons, Kan., to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'0”, 230-pound Hartle
is a 2002 graduate of Chase (Kan.) High School and has attended
Barton County Community College the past two years.

“Jon is a mature football
player who has already completed his AA (Associate of Arts) degree
at Barton County,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
“He is also a member of the
Army National Guard which requires the type of discipline and commitment
we want in our student-athletes.”
“Although Jon has been away
from football for several years, he is in very good shape due to
his military training and a lot of time in the weight room.”
“Jon is a friend of current
Bulldog Nathon James, who is a starter on our defensive line and
who was named to the NAIA academic All-American team in 2005.”
“We are projecting Jon to
play on the defensive line.”
Jon is the son of Martin
and Penny Hartle of Lyons, Kan. He plans to major in sociology/criminal
justice at McPherson College where he also will be part of the cheer
squad outside the football season.
“We are very pleased to have
Jonathan as part of our cheer team next year,” said Tia Leach, McPherson
College cheer coach. “His co-ed stunting experience will be an asset
to the team.”
“Jonathan has competed
at the national level (with Barton CCC) in Daytona Beach, Fla.,
this past year where the team placed sixth nationally. We have great
expectations for him next year as his abilities and work ethic will
help make the team a better and stronger one.”

Kammerman
signs with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Randy Kammerman of Murray, Utah, to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'4”, 225-pound Kammerman
was twice named All-Region and as a senior was selected second team
All-State in football. Randy was a three-year starter for Murray
High School , and was selected team captain his senior season.
“We are very excited about
adding Randy to our football program,” said McPherson head coach
David Cunningham. “Along with Jeff Krehbiel, we now have two true
tight ends on our roster.”
“Randy has excellent height
and has the frame to add more size and muscle. He has played basketball
throughout his high school career and this has prevented him from
spending a great deal of time in the weight room.”
“Randy is an excellent athlete.
He worked out for ( McPherson College head basketball) Coach (Roger)
Trimmell when he visited campus and could possibly join the basketball
team when football season is over.”
“Randy seemed to really enjoy
his visit to campus, and our current players made him feel right
at home."
“It helps to have Nate Fullmer,
who is also from Utah , already here. Nate hosted Randy on his visit
and did an excellent job. Nate is a redshirt freshman who is expected
to play quarterback as well as at receiver and on special teams.”
Kammerman was also a three-year
letter winner in basketball. He was part of a People-to-People basketball
tour to Greece and Italy, and during which he was selected “Most
Valuable Player” at a tournament in Italy.
Randy is the son of Marc
and Wendy Kammerman of Murray, Utah. Randy plans to major in business
at McPherson College.

Kennedy
inks with Mac football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Tyler Kennedy of Phillipsburg, Kan., to a
football letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'11”, 175-pound Kennedy
was an All-Mid Continent League honorable mention selection as a
tight end his senior season even though he was out four games with
a broken thumb.

Ty ended his prep career
with 127 tackles including 7.5 sacks, blocked three punts and intercepted
three passes, two of which he returned for touchdowns.
“Tyler played a type of stand-up
end/outside linebacker at Phillipsburg ,” said McPherson head coach
David Cunningham. “Here at McPherson, we will probably play him
as an outside backer in our 4-3 scheme. We expect Tyler will also
contribute on our special teams.”
“Tyler was a play-maker on
defense for the Panthers under coach (J.B.) Covington at Phillipsburg.
He scored on two interceptions, caused a fumble that a teammate
returned for a touchdown, and blocked a punt that a teammate fell
on for a score. He also blocked a PAT.”
“Tyler showed a lot of toughness
his senior year, playing half of the season with a broken thumb.”
Tyler is the son of Walter
and Cindy Kennedy of Phillipsburg, Kan.

Headrick
signs with Mac football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Caylon Headrick of LaJunta, Colo., to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'9, 150-pound Headrick
earned all-conference honors as a junior at Cheraw High School under
coach Tim Bebe.

Caylon
Headrick is joined for his letter of intent signing by his parents,
Sandie and Clifton Headrick.
Caylon was a three-sport
letter winner at Cheraw HS, competing in football, basketball, and
baseball.
“Caylon is an undersized,
but talented receiver/defensive back from Cheraw High School ,”
said McPherson head coach David Cunningham. “He played 6-man football,
which is very wide-open and develops a great deal of versatility
in the players.”
“We will probably wait to
see where we need him more, in the secondary or in our receiving
corps, before we decide where to play him.”
“Caylon scored three touchdowns
in one of the games on the film we watched; two on offense and one
on defense.”
“Caylon is good student whose
interest was sparked by our graphic design program.”
Caylon is the son of Clifton
and Sandie Headrick of LaJunta, Colo. He plans to major in graphic
design and marketing at McPherson College.

Dyche
inks with Mac football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Kalib Dyche of Colorado Springs, Colo., to
a football letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'10”, 165-pound Dyche
averaged 10.6 yards per carry and 21.2 yards per catch as he gained
over 1,000 yards rushing and receiving his senior season for coach
Tony Rammuno at Lewis-Palmer High School. Named Lewis-Palmer's special
teams MVP, Dyche returned a kickoff for 97 yards.
At the conclusion of his
final prep season, Kalib received second team all-conference honors.
“Kalib is a very good athlete
who may also play on the Bulldog basketball team,” said McPherson
head coach David Cunningham. “He shows good speed, but even better
quickness, and is an elusive runner.”
“Kalib has nice hands and
does a good job of catching passes in traffic. He then does a good
job of gaining yards after making the catch.”
“Kalib scored three different
ways on the film we got, rushing the ball, a touchdown reception,
and a kickoff return.”
“Due to the size of Lewis
Palmer High School (Colorado Class 5A), Kalib played mainly offense.
Here at McPherson, we may look at him as a corner(back) and return
man, initially.”
“A very good student, Kalib
fit in well on his visit. We're looking forward to having him with
us next fall.”
Kalib is the son of Jack
and Shelly Dyche of Colorado Springs, Colo. He plans to major in
physical education and mathematics at McPherson College.

Clark
signs with Mac football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Tyler Clark of Courtland, Kan., and Pike Valley
High School to a football letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school
year.
The 5'9”, 185-pound Clark
was an All-Pike Trail League running back at Scandia-Pike Valley
where he also received honorable mention All-State recognition as
a running back following his junior and as a running back and defensive
back his senior season.

As a senior, Clark rushed
for 1,227 yards, accumulated over 1,700 yards of offense and had
five interceptions on defense, helping Pike Valley advance to the
8-man, Division I KSHSAA state semifinals, where the Panthers lost
to eventual state runner-up Hope, finishing the season with an 11-1
record under coach Don Melby.
“Tyler comes to McPherson
from a very good 8-man football program at Scandia-Pike Valley,”
said McPherson head coach David Cunningham. “He knows what it takes
to win and to be a successful student. He will bring a solid work
ethic, both on the field and the classroom.”
“Tyler has demonstrated some
great return skills, both on punts and kick-offs.”
“We are excited to have Tyler
make this commitment to McPherson College and look forward to him
contributing to our football program as a running back/return specialist.”
“Coach (Norris) Poole did
a very good job recruiting Tyler. Coach Poole has good connection
in north central Kansas, having played at Belleville High School
before entering college.”

Baldwin
's Brown signs with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of John Brown of Baldwin City, Kan., to football
and track letters of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'9", 165-pound Brown
was named to the All-Frontier League second team and honorable mention
All-Area by the Lawrence Journal-World his senior season. In his
final prep season under coach Mike Berg, he totaled over 800 yards
rushing, 200 yards receiving and scored 13 touchdowns while averaging
8.7 yards per touch.

John
Brown is joined for his letter of intent signing by (front) his

“John has excellent speed
as evidenced by his strong performance on the track,” said McPherson
head coach David Cunningham. “His versatility throughout his high
school career, as he played four different positions, has made him
a well-rounded football player.”
“Here at McPherson, we plan
to play him at wide receiver and maybe some at tailback.”
“John is a very mature young
man and he impressed us a great deal with how thorough he was in
selecting his college home.”
“John is the type of student-athlete
we really want here at McPherson College.”
Brown was part of two Class
4A medal winning relays at last spring's KSHSAA state championships
for coach Mike Spielman as the Baldwin Bulldogs placed second and
fifth in the 4x400 and 4x100, and are currently among the state
leaders in both events again.
“John is a goal-oriented
runner that has great short-term and long-term goals,” added McPherson
head track coach Dave Smith. “This past weekend, he ran on Baldwin
's 4x100 and 4x400 relays that placed seventh at the KU Relays.”
“We look forward to having
John's attitude and work ethic as part of our Bulldog team.”
“John will be a great addition
to our campus community. We look forward to watching him reach his
goals this year and in his years at McPherson College.”
John is the son of David
and Twilla Brown of Baldwin City, Kan. He plans to major in business
administration at McPherson College.

Queen
signs with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Charles “Brad” Queen of Hotchkiss, Colo.,
to a football letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'11”, 180-pound Queen
rushed for 710 yards as a junior and 671 yards as a senior. He was
credited with 72 tackles as a sophomore, 92 as a junior, and 97
as a senior for Hotchkiss HS under coach Doug Horton.

Joining
Brad Queen for his letter of intent signing with McPherson College

“Coach Norris Poole did
an excellent job recruiting Brad to McPherson College,” said McPherson
head coach David Cunningham.

that Brad could major in auto restoration and continue his football
career at the collegiate level.”
Queen was a three-time all-conference
selection for Hotchkiss High School , and was named Gatorade offensive
player of the year as a junior.
“We are very excited about
having Brad as a put of our Bulldog program and the McPherson College
community.”
Brad is the son of Mark and
Elaine Queen of Hotchkiss, Colo. His brother Scott played football
at Western State College in Colorado, and brother Todd played baseball
at Otero Junior College .

Case
signs with Bulldog football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Scott Case of Bethany, Okla., to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'11”, 175-pound Case
will be a 2006 graduate of Bethany High School where he captained
both the football and soccer teams.
Case
threw four touchdown passes as quarterback, ran for 525 yards and
two touchdowns as a running back in addition to one receiving TD.
On the defensive side of the ball, he was credited with 35 tackles
as a safety, and 5 ½ sacks when moved to a tackle spot.
In soccer, Case has twice
been an All-District selection, and his senior season he was named
All-State Class 4A.
“Scott is a very talented
athlete who played both football and soccer as a high school senior,”
said McPherson head coach David Cunningham. “Here, he will kick
and also possibly play in the secondary.”
“Scott and his family visited
campus last spring and also attended our Bulldog Visit Day last
fall when we defeated S.A.G.U.”
“Scott is an excellent student
and plans to major in auto restoration technology. He will be a
great addition to both our campus community and our football program.”
Scott is the son of Jay
and Stephoni Case of Bethany , Okla. He plans to major in automotive
restoration at McPherson College.

Galindo
inks with Bulldog football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Benjamin Galindo of Moore, Okla., to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'2”, 220-pound Galindo
will be a 2006 graduate of Moore High School where he was a three-year
letter winner for coach William Bays.

Galindo saw time on both
sides of the ball his senior season. On the defensive side, he was
credited with 10 tackles.
“Benjamin visited campus
with his family about a month ago, and everything seemed to click
for them here at McPherson,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
“Benjamin is a very talented
lineman with great feet and who has been coached very well.”
“He is currently a bit light
for a college offensive lineman, but we can put good weight on him.
What you cannot always develop are the many positive characteristics
he already has in terms of on-the-field intensity, leadership, and
work ethic on the field and in the classroom.”
“I feel that Benjamin will
have a great four-year career here at McPherson College.”
Galindo was selected to participate
in the 2006 “Down Under Bowl” in Australia.
Benjamin is the son of Rachel
Galindo of Moore, Okla. He will be a pre-med/biochemistry major
at McPherson College.

Central's Baker inks with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Luke Baker of Protection, Kan., and South
Central High School to a football letter of intent for the 2006-2007
school year.
The 5'9”, 180-pound Baker
was a two-time honorable mention All-District and SPAA-Iroquois
Activity Association selection for coach Rocky Green. He has also
participated in basketball and track & field for the Timberwolves.

Joining
Luke Baker for his letter of intent signing are his parents Julie
and Kenyon Baker, and (back) McPherson coach head coach David Cunningham.
“Luke visited campus twice,
and he and his parents made a great impression on our coaches and
admissions staff,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
“Luke played linebacker and
guard at South Central and we are projecting him as a linebacker
as well as a potential special team's player.”
“Luke was part of a program
that struggled from consolidation in it's early years, but has developed
into a playoff team by his senior season.”
“We are looking forward to
coaching Luke and having him as a part of our program and campus
community for the next four years.”

Emanuel
inks with McPherson football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Julius Emanuel of Pearland, Texas, and to
a football letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'0”, 245-pound Emanuel
played defensive line for Pearland High School, where he was credited
with 11 career sacks, and which was 10-1 in 2005 and District 24-5A
champions with a 6-0 mark.

“Julius plays in the interior
of the defensive line,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham,

“He was a very capable player
on a good high school team. What we liked about Julius on film was
how hard he played, and his lateral quickness down the line of scrimmage.”
“What we like about him in
person was how much he and his mother wanted him to be at McPherson
College .”
“We try really hard to find
football players that are good fits for both our football program
and our campus community. I fell Julius definitely fits that category.”
Julius is the son of Jacqueline
Lewis of Pearland, Texas He plans to major in pre-engineering at
McPherson College.

signs on with Bulldogs
McPherson College has
announced the recent signing of Martin Chase Ortiz of Mansfield,
Texas, and Summit High School to football and track & field
letters of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.

Joining
Chase Ortiz for his letter of intent signing with McPherson College

The 5'9”, 175-pound Ortiz was selected
“New Comer of the Year” and earned “All-Academic” honors during
his prep career at Summit High School, which finished 9-3 and as
co-district champions in 2005.
“Chase has shown an ability
to make big plays on offense as well as on special teams,” said
McPherson head coach David Cunningham. “He has great speed and will
also participate in track here.”
“We are projecting him as
a wide receiver on offense and also possibly returning punts and
kick-offs.”
A long sprinter in track,
Ortiz competes in 200, 400, and sprint relays.
“We are very happy to have
Chase sign with McPherson College ,” add Dave Smith, McPherson College
head track & field coach.
“Chase is a very good sprinter
and will also contribute to our relays.”

Chase is the son of Martin and Rachel

's Dixon inks with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Jamie Dixon of Wellington , Kan. , to a football
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.

Jamie
Dixon is joined for his letter of intent signing by McPherson College
head coach David Cunningham.
The 6'0”, 205-pound Dixon
is a 2005 graduate of Wellington High School , but laid out this
past year.
“We are happy that it is
going to work out for Jamie to come to McPherson College and join
our football program,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
“Jamie is projected as a
defensive lineman, and comes from an outstanding program at Wellington
. Coach (Linn) Hibbs had high praise for Jamie, both as a person
and as a player, when we were recruiting him a year ago. ”
“We already have two Crusaders
here at McPherson, Daniel Farley and Derrick Newberry, and they
are they kind of students we really appreciate. I anticipate Jamie
being the same type of young man, both on and off the field.”
“Jamie originally signed
with us last year, but needed to work this year and get himself
on more solid ground financially.”
“We were disappointed he
could not come last year as was he, and it is great that he has
worked so hard to make it possible to attend this fall.”
Jamie is the son of Cheryl
Dixon of Wellington , Kan. He plans to major in physical education
and history at McPherson College and also compete in track.

Parrish
signs on with McPherson football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Ryan Parrish of Shawnee , Kan. , and Mill
Valley High School to a football letter of intent for the 2006-2007
school year.
The
5'11”, 195-pound Parrish is projected as a tight end for the Bulldogs.
“Ryan visited during the
Southwestern game,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham,
“and both he and his parents made a great impression.”
“We have been working with
Ryan throughout the admissions process and we're pleased he has
decided to become a Bulldog.”
“Ryan is a good student and
played both tight end and defensive end in high school. Right now
we anticipate playing him at the tight end position. As he matures
and has time to spend in our weight room, Ryan has the potential
to have a very rewarding 4-year career on the field as well as in
the classroom.”
Ryan is the son of Jerry
and Robin Parrish of Shawnee , Kan. He plans to major in business
and technology at McPherson College .

Kreutzer
inks with Bulldog football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Kenneth Cole Kreutzer of Pratt , Kan. , to
a football letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'10”, 165-pound Kreutzer
was credited with 77 total tackles, 22 unassisted, three sacks,
two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery his senior season for
the Pratt High Greenbacks.
Cole was also named “Most
Inspirational” for the Greenback wrestlers, and topped the Pratt
grapplers in reversals for two seasons.
“We are excited about Cole
joining our football program,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
“We anticipate him playing at the ‘Will' linebacker spot in our
4-3 defense and also contributing on our special teams.”
“Although Cole is a bit undersized,
he has good strength and excellent football speed. He is a tough,
hard-nosed linebacker with good feet and reactions.”
“We have been very happy
with our other Pratt Greenback, Jeff Krehbiel, and expect Cole to
be the same type of person and student-athlete.”
Cole
is the son of Kenny and Lori Kreutzer of Pratt , Kan. He plans to
major in auto restoration technology at McPherson College .

James
signs on with Bulldog football
McPherson College has
announced the recent signing of Nathan James of Naponee, Nebr.,
and Franklin High School to a football letter of intent for the
2006-2007 school year.
The
6'3”, 225-pound James averaged nine tackles per game as a senior
defensive tackle. He was an honorable mention All-State selection
as a senior at Franklin HS in addition to being named an All-District
honorable mention honoree as both a junior and senior by the Kearney
Hub and Hastings Tribune.
“Nathan will bring a lot
of positives to both our football program and our campus community,”
said McPherson head coach David Cunningham. “He will also cause
a little bit of confusion as we already have another Nathon James
on our roster who also plays defensive line.”
“The thing I liked from watching
Nathan on film was how active he was on defense, causing or recovering
several fumbles.”
“Nathan is an excellent student
who has visited campus a couple of times and will fit right in with
the players we currently have in our program.”
Nathan is the son of Chuck
and Deb James of Naponee , Nebr. He plans to major in auto restoration
technology at McPherson College .

Hefferon
signs with Mac football
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Matthew Hefferon of Loveland, Colo., and Mountain
View High School to a football letter of intent for the 2006-2007
school year.
The
5'10”, 184-pound Hefferon was a two-year letter winner for Mountain
View High under coach Bart Mayes as a defensive back, wide receiver,
and punter.
“Matt made a very good impression
on us when he and his mother braved a snowstorm to visit campus
in December,” said McPherson head coach David Cunningham.
“Matt is a very strong student
who is expected to play either running back or defensive back. He
will also get the chance to compete for playing time as a punter.”
“He is the first of what
we hope to be many signings for the Fall semester of 2006.”
Matt is the son of Micheal
and Sandy Hefferon of Loveland , Colo. He plans to major in sports
management/business at McPherson.

Nine players join
Mac grid program
McPherson College has announced
that nine players who will be joining the Bulldog football program
for the 2006-2007 school year are on campus, enrolled and attending
classes second semester, and will be participating in spring drills.
“We are very happy with the
nine players we brought in for the spring semester,” said McPherson
head coach David Cunningham.
“We addressed several positional
needs and in the process added eight players who have at least one
year of college football experience, six at the junior college level
and two that played here previously.”
“The best thing about this
spring class is that the seven players new to McPherson recruited
in large part by current Bulldogs who were their teammates in high
school and junior college. The fact that our current players were
willing to recruit their friends says a lot about not only the football
program, but McPherson College as a whole.”

Mitch Maginot, 6'1”,
180-pounds, returns to McPherson College as junior. Mitch played
defensive back for the Bulldogs in 2003 and 2004. He returns after
taking a year off from school. Maginot won KCAC honorable mention
honors in 2004 after recording 28 tackles, six passes broken up,
and two fumble recoveries while leading the Bulldogs in pass interceptions
with four. From Arlington , Texas , Maginot is an auto restoration
major.
Jory Boyd, 5'7”, 235-pounds,
is the second returnee to the McPherson College program. A sophomore
defensive lineman from Smolan , Kan. , and Smoky Valley High School
, Boyd played defense and special teams for the Bulldogs in 2003
before transferring to Kansas State University where he did not
play football. Boyd is expected to play defensive tackle and end
in 2006 for McPherson College where he is majoring in history education.
Travon Anderson, 5'9”,
213-pounds, is a running back from Los Angeles Harbor Community
College . Anderson is expected to play both the fullback and tailback
positions as well as special teams for the Bulldogs. From Los Angeles
, Calif. , Anderson attended Washington Prep High in Los Angeles
, where he was named Most Valuable Player in 2000. He plans to major
in physical education and sociology.
Jacob Custer, 6'1”,
270-pounds, and Joe Morgan, 6'3”, 250-pounds, both started
on the offensive line at the College of the Desert, Palm Springs
, Calif. Both were teammates of current Bulldog Ryan Flores in 2004
when the College of the Desert qualified for the U.S. Bank Beach
Bowl.
Custer was a first team Desert
Valley League and All-CIF performer his senior season at Cathedral
City High School , Cathedral City , Calif. He was also a state qualifier
and All-CIF in wrestling as a junior. At the College of the Desert,
Custer was named to the All-Foothill Conference first team. He plans
to major in English.
Morgan played interscholastically
at Valley High School in Las Vegas , Nev. Morgan will be majoring
in business administration at McPherson College .
Steve Dickinson, 5'10”,
185-pounds, transfers to McPherson College from American River College
where he was a teammate of current Bulldogs Brandon Babcock, Mario
Aguilar, and Mike Silva. Dickinson caught 12 passes for 117 yards
as a sophomore as a wide receiver at American River which qualified
for the 2005 Shrine Bowl. Originally from Rancho Cordova , Calif.
, where he was a 2002 graduate of Cordova High School , Dickinson
will major in business administration at McPherson College .
James “Kiel” Stidham,
5'10”, 200-pounds, was a high school teammate of current Bulldog
Mason Adams at Bonham High School , Bonham , Texas , graduating
in 2005. Stidham earned honorable mention All-District honors as
a senior at Bonham HS. Entering McPherson as a freshman, Stidham
attended Grayson County College in Denison , Texas , in the fall
of 2005. He will play on the offensive line.
Adam Suppes, 5'10”,
190-pounds, is a native of St. John , Kan. Suppes transfers to McPherson
from Dodge City Community College where he redshirted in 2004 before
playing on the 2005 DCCC team that stunned Butler Community College
in the regional play-offs before going on to play in the Heart of
Texas Bowl. It is anticipated that Suppes will play at an outside
backer spot for McPherson. He earned honorable mention All-State
honors as a senior at St. John High School . Suppes plans to major
in business administration at McPherson College .
Jeremiah Fiscus, 6'0”,
270-pounds, was a two-year starting offensive lineman at Dodge City
Community College in 2004 and 2005, where he was a teammate of Suppes
as the Conquistadors played in the 2005 Jaywhawk Conference championship
and Heart of Texas Bowl. A native of Staff ord , Kan. , where he
earned first team All-Central Prairie League and All-Area honors,
and was selected to play in the 8-man All-State football game, Fiscus
will major in elementary education.
