Signings
The following is a list of all signings for the 2010 season
starting with the most recent signing.

sign with McPherson Football on National Signing Day
McPherson, Kan. – McPherson
College has announced the addition of 16 incoming freshman to the
football program for the fall semester of the 2010-2011 school year.
These 10 signed their national letters of intent on national signing
day, February 3, 2010.
Joining the Bulldog program
next fall are Lenton Abram (Inglewood, Calif.),
Jacob Bauman (Wichita, Kan.), Taylor Beilman
(Norwich, Kan.), Tyler Bruton (Burrton,
Kan.), Evan Clary (McPherson, Kan.) Dean
Cook (Wichita, Kan.), Jameal Farrison
(Wichita, Kan.), Joshua Fliedner (Englewood, Colo.),
Brian Gahagan (Terrell, Texas), Aaron
Hayes (Aurora, Colo.), Sean LaBelle
(Ashland, Kan.), Jason Litt (), Cole Long
(Medicine Lodge, Kan.), Taylor Mendoza
(Hutchinson, Kan.), Nick Sampson (Aurora, Colo.),
and Jonathan White (Aurora, Colo.).
“With our incoming freshman,
we feel we addressed our needs at specific positions,” said McPherson
head coach Brian Ward. “This may prove to be the class with more
potential than any class we have had since I have been here. Every
one of these players was recruited by several other programs, so
we feel very fortunate to have them become a part of the Bulldog
program. We can't wait to see the freshman in the fall.”
Lenton Abram (5-9,
190, LB, Inglewood, Calif., Taft High School) was a two year letter
winner under Taft High School coach Matthew Kerstetter. Following
the end of his senior season, Abram was named to the 2010 All-City
Team. He received the same honor in 2008. Lenton completed his prep
career with 300 tackles, four interceptions and six fumble recoveries.
Jacob Bauman (6-4,
290, OL, Wichita, Kan., Wichita East High School) was an All-City
honorable mention award winner following his senior season. Bauman
is a three year letter winner under coach Brian Byers.
Taylor Beilman (5-11,
170, FS, Norwich, Kan., Cheney High School) was nominated to the
CPL first team as a defensive back, while receiving selection to
the Wichita Eagle's 4-A honorable mention team. Beilman, a two year
letter winner in both football and basketball, tallied 48 total
tackles his senior season, including 22 solo stops, seven interceptions
and one fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Tyler Bruton (5-11,
175, LB, Burrton, Kan., Burrton High School), a three time All-State
honorable mention linebacker, was twice named to the All-League
first team as a linebacker and once as a running back and special
teams member. In his senior season, Bruton recorded 158 tackles,
four interceptions and two defensive touchdowns, while rushing for
greater than 1,000 yards (1,100). In the classroom, Tyler is a 2009-2010
National Honor Socitey member, along with being a finalist for the
Wendy's Heisman.
Evan Clary (6-3, 212,
DE, McPherson, Kan., McPherson High School) was a three-year letter
winner in football and track, while lettering one season in wrestling
at McPherson High School. On the football field, Clary recorded
46 tackles, including nine sacks and 16 tackles for loss during
his senior season. Following his senior campaign with the McPherson
Bullpups, Evan was selected honorable mention All-State by the Wichita
Eagle and the Topeka Capital Journal, along with a first team All-Conference
nomination by the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League.
Dean Cook (6-1, 185,
S, Wichita, Kan., Wichita East High School), an All-City honorable
mention squad member following his senior season, lettered twice
in football and track and field at Wichita East High School.
Jameal Farrison (5-8,
170, DB, Wichita, Kan., Wichita East High School) was an All-City
honorable mention wide receiver following his senior season under
coach Brian Byers. Farrison is a two year letter winner at Wichita
East High School.
Joshua Fliedner (6-0,
270, OL, Englewood, Colo., Littleton High School) was a two-time
All-League team member under head coach Chad Koepke, including a
first team selection in 2009. Joshua lettered three times in football
at Littleton High School.
Brian Gahagan (6-1,
275, DL, Terrell, Texas, Dallas Madison High School) finished his
senior season with 46 solo tackles, three sacks and four forced
fumbles. The 6-1, 275-pounder received honor mention honors following
his senior campaign and has been named to the Dallas Madison High
School Honor Roll multiple times.
Aaron Hayes (6-2,
205, LB, Aurora, Colo., Overland High School) was a 4-A State honorable
mention award winner at Overland High School. Hayes received three
varsity letters during his prep career.
Sean LaBelle (6-2,
185, LB, Ashland, Kan., Ashland High School) is a three time All-League
award winner for his play at the linebacker position. During his
senior season, he was also named to the Hutch News 8-man second
team and to the All-State honorable mention squad. Sean is a three-year
letter winner in football.
Jason Litt (5-11,
295, OL, Lake Dallas, Texas, Lake Dallas High School) recently received
All-District second team honors at his offensive lineman position.
As a junior, Litt earned an honorable mention All-District award.
Along with football, Litt has won numerous awards as a weightlifter
and is currently in contention for the 2010 state championship.
Cole Long (6-1, 220,
DL, Medicine Lodge, Kan., Medicine Lodge High School) is a two time
unanimous selection to the CPL All-League team as both an offensive
and defensive lineman. The 6-1, 220-pound Long following his junior
and senior season was named 3-A All-State honorable mention.
Taylor Mendoza (6-2,
240, LB, Hutchinson, Kan., Trinity Catholic High School) was a two
time All-League award winner as a linebacker. Following the 2009
season, Mendoza was received honorable mention All-State honors.
An excellent student, Taylor earned a spot on the honor roll at
Trinity Catholic High School from 2005 to 2009.
Nick Sampson (6-2,
230, LB, Aurora, Colo., Overland High School) was named to the All-Conference
second team as a junior. Sampson bookended his second team award
with honorable mention status during his sophomore and senior seasons.
Jonathan White (6-0,
180, Ath, Aurora, Colo., Gateway High School) lettered two seasons
under coach Justin Hoffman at Gateway High School. White followed
an All-Conference honorable mention junior season with a first team
All-Conference selection senior year. White received both awards
at the wide receiver position

Clary
signs with Bulldog Football and Track
McPherson, Kan. - McPherson
College has announced the recent signing of Evan Clary of McPherson,
Kan., and McPherson High School to a football and track and field
letter of intent for the 2010-2011 school year.

“Evan is exactly the type
of person that we want at our school and in our football program,”
said McPherson College head football coach Brian Ward. “Obviously,
being around McPherson College most of his life, he knows that he
could have a great college experience here. He will be a great fit,
and we believe that he will develop into one of the top defensive
ends in our conference. This is a great day for our program.”
Clary, a defensive lineman
on the football field, was a three-year letter winner in football
and track, while lettering one season in wrestling at McPherson
High School. On the football field, Clary recorded 46 tackles, including
nine sacks and 16 tackles for loss during his senior season. Following
his senior campaign with the McPherson Bullpups, Evan was selected
honorable mention All-State by the Wichita Eagle and the Topeka

“We are very excited to
add Evan,” said McPherson College head track and field coach Joe
Eby. “He is a tremendous athlete with a ton of potential to be a
national caliber thrower for us. He has a great work ethic and will
be a great addition to the team.”
On the track, Evan holds
a personal record of 149'8” in the discus and 46'5” in the shot.
He also participated in the javelin while at MHS. In 2009, Clary
qualified for the Kansas State High School track meet in the discus.
Evan is the son of Bruce
and Janell Clary of McPherson, Kan. He plans to major in motorcycle
restoration while at McPherson College.

Eight
transfers ink with Bulldog football
McPherson, Kan. - McPherson
College has announced the addition of eight trasnfers who have joined
the Bulldog football program for the spring semester of the 2009-2010
school year.
“We brought these transfers
in at spots we felt we needed to be more competitive at,” said McPherson
head coach Brian War. “These are all high-character individuals
with very good potential, and all have a GPA above 3.0. Their success
in the classroom is testimony to how competitive and dependable
they will be on the field. We are very excited to have these guys
join our program.”
Joining the Bulldog program
this spring were Jason Amador (San Bernardino,
Calif.), Blake Schembri (Scottsdale, Ariz.), Drew
Thomsen (Phoenix, Ariz.), Jasper Rose
(Fremont, Calif.), Brandon Chandler (Canyon Country,
Calif.), Charles Ryan (Los Angeles, Calif.), Ronald
Davis (South Coffeyville, Okla.), and Corey Sanders
(Columbus, Miss.).
Jason Amador (5-11,
165, San Bernardino, Calif., San Bernardino Valley College/San Bernardino
High School). Amador was a three-year letterman in football at San
Bernardino High School. He rushed for seven touchdowns during his
senior season and was selected to the All-League squad as a defensive
back and wide receiver. Along with football, Jason lettered four
years in track and field.
Blake Schembri (5-10,
215, Scottsdale, Ariz., Scottsdale Community College/Chaparral High
School). Schembri lettered four years in football at Chaparral High
School, before continuing his playing career at Scottsdale Community
College.
Drew Thomsen (6-1,
248, Phoenix, Ariz., Scottsdale Community College/St. Patrick St
Vincent High School). Drew lettered four years at St. Patrick-St.
Vincent High School in football and wrestling prior to playing at
Scottsdale Community College.
Jasper Rose (6-2,
205, Fremont, Calif., San Jose City College/Robertson High School).
Played three seasons at San Jose City College.
Brandon Chandler (6-1,
270, Canyon County, Calif., Pierce College/Canyon High School).
The 2009 Pierce College most improved offensive player, Chandler
played two seasons under head coach Efrain Martinez. Prior to Pierce
College, Brandon lettered twice at Canyon High School. In 2005 and
2006, he earned academic letters.
Charles Ryan (6-4,
245, Los Angeles, Calif., American River College/Casa Roble High
School). A first team All-league linebacker as a junior and a first
team all-city selection his senior season, Ryan completed his prep
career with 160 tackles, 16.5 sacks, three interceptions, five forced
fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one touchdown. After high school,
Charles moved on to play two seasons at American River College.
Ronald Davis (6-0,
200, South Coffeyville, Okla., Alabama State University/Oklahoma
Union High School). In 2007, Davis played in six games at Alabama
State University recording two catches for 34 yards, before sitting
out the 2008 season due to injury. As a prep athlete, Ronald was
a two time first team All-State and All-Conference football player
at Oklahoma Union High School. In his senior season at Oklahoma
Union, he posted 1,693 yards on 73 catches for 28 touchdowns. Davis
also letter three years in basketball while in high school.
Corey Sanders (6-0,
195, Columbus, Miss., Northeast Mississippi Community College/Columbus
High School). Sanders lettered two seasons at Northeast Mississippi
Community College, including an All-Star selection in 2007. Prior
to NMCC, Corey played two varsity seasons at Columbus High School.
He was selected All-District football while in high school.
