2010-11 sports accomplishments

  • Football Championship SeriesFootball won the KCAC Regular Season Championship with program’s first undefeated season (10-0, 9-0 KCAC).
  • Football made second consecutive appearance in NAIA Football Championship Series
  • Basketball Championship SeriesMen’s Basketball made second consecutive appearance in the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship
  • Men’s Basketball advanced to NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship Quarterfinal Round
  • Men’s Basketball tied program record for wins (21; previously accomplished in  1958-59)
  • Volleyball won a program record 20 matches (previous record was 19 in 2005)
  • Women’s Basketball senior guard Kristen Ozbun advanced to third on the programs career points list (1,255)
  • Women’s Soccer won NSCAA Team Ethics Award for the third straight season
  • Men’s Tennis advanced to the finals of the KCAC Tournament for the first time since 1980
  • Men’s Tennis Sophomore Vyacheslav Bukatin earned Capital One Academic All-District and NAIA Honorable Mention All-American honors
  • Track and Field National ChampionshipNine Bulldogs represented McPherson College at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. Senior Antowine Lamb and junior Daniel Sorenson brought home All-American honors.
  • For her play on the field and in the classroom, junior softball player Andrea Falk earned a spot on the Capital One Academic All-District VII team.
