Wesleyan blanks MC kickers

It's games like Monday's 1-0 loss to Kansas Wesleyan that leaves McPherson College men's soccer coach Doug Quint knowing his team is so close to breaking through.

The Bulldogs held a 13-2 advantage in shots, but one of the Coyotes' got through in the first half, which was the difference in the outcome.

Wesleyan's David Zeable scored near the end of the first half to provide the Coyotes with their second win of the year.

The Bulldogs are now 1-8 and losers of five straight. They play Saturday at Southwestern.

The teams met earlier, with the Moundbuilders escaping with a narrow 4-3 win at McPherson Stadium.
