The following is a list of all signings for the 2005 season
starting with the most recent signing.
Buum
signs with Bulldog strikers
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Eric Buum of McPherson , Kan. , to a soccer
letter of intent for the 2005-2006 school year.

Eric Buum
signs his letter of intent with the Bulldogs. Joining in the

coach, Reed Hardgrave.
The 5'10”, 145-pound Buum
was a member of McPherson High School 's 2004 Class 5A state championship
team under coach Jim Post.
Erik, who spent the 2004-2005
school year as part of the Barton County Community College soccer
program, is following in the footsteps of his brother Michael who
earlier played for McPherson High and then McPherson College .
“Eric is an extremely hard
working player and very coachable,” said Doug Quint, McPherson College
head soccer coach. “He is dedicated to improving and doing what
it takes to make the team better.”
“I am very pleased to have
Eric Coming to McPherson College . His family has been involved
in McPherson soccer for quite some time. It's great to keep them
at home!”
Eric is the son of Gary and
Garnet Buum of McPherson, Kan.
Buum plans to major in physical
education at McPherson College with a career goal of teaching and
coaching.

Tilton
signs with Mac strikers
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Brent Tilton of Buhler, Kan., and Cloud County
Community College to a soccer letter of intent for the 2005-2006
school year.

Tilton is joined for his letter of intent signing with McPherson

Doug Quint, and his father, Mark Tilton.
The 5'8”, 150-pound Tilton
received honorable mention All-Chisholm Trail League honors his
senior season at Buhler HS before playing last fall at Cloud County
CC under Dane Straight.
“I am really please that
things have worked out for Brent to attend McPherson College this
fall,” said Doug Quint, McPherson College head soccer coach. “I've
had the privilege of knowing Brent and his family for quite some
time.”
“Brent played for us in Club
Azzurri and did an outstanding job. He is a very solid defensive
player, who is going to increase our depth at outside back. He tackles
the ball well, is a quick player who works extremely hard and is
very coachable.”
“I've enjoyed watching Brent
grow as a player, and I look forward to working with him in his
continuing development as a player.”
“It is always nice to get
to sign someone you've coached at a younger age. I believe Brent
will have a fine career at McPherson College.”
Brent is the son of Mark
and Beth Tilton of Hutchinson, Kan.

Dillon
inks with Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Jeffery Dillon of Red Rock, Texas, to a soccer
letter of intent for the 2005-2006 school year.
The 5'10”, 140-pound Dillon
played his interscholastic soccer for Lockhart High School of Lockhart,
Texas, where he graduated this spring.

“We are very pleased to have
Jeff joining our team next fall,” said Doug Quint, McPherson College
head soccer coach. “He is a very versatile player, who works very
hard to make himself and his team better.”
“Jeff comes from a very successful
club program, and is going to provide us with depth at outside back
or in the midfield.”
“Jeff is another piece as
we've continued our great recruiting success in Texas this year.
The Austin area is one we've been trying to tap.”
“We are looking forward to
working with Jeff over the next four years.”
Jeff is the son of Richard
and Denise Dillon of Red Rock, Texas.
Dillon plans to major in
agriculture science at McPherson College .

Asad
signs with Bulldog strikers
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Ramsey Asad of Wylie, Tex., to a soccer letter
of intent for the 2005-2006 school year.

Joining
Ramsey Asad for his letter of intent signing were his mother, Danette
Mullins, along with (back, left) Reed Hardgrave, McPherson College
assistant coach, and Danny Mullins.
The 5'10”, 156-pound Asad
captained the Wylie High School strikers his senior season. After
scoring 13 goals as a freshman, he went on to score double-digit
goals each of his three varsity seasons at Wylie HS, netting 15
as a sophomore, 14 as a junior, and then 18 during his final prep
season.
Asad received first team
All-District honors as a sophomore and senior, sandwiching second
team honors as a junior. He also received weekly honors by the Dallas
Morning News.
Ramsey had the honor of scoring
the first goal in Wylie's new Pirate Stadium.
“We first spotted Ramsey
at a showcase in Texas when he was playing for the Storm Soccer
Club,” said Doug Quint, McPherson College head soccer coach. “We
were impressed with his abilities, most notably his strength and
skill on the ball.”
“Ramsey works extremely hard
on the field and is a versatile player. He comes to us as the 12
th leading scorer in the entire state of Texas . He has a ‘nose'
for the goal and the ability to create a lot of quality chances
(to score).”
“Needless to say, we are
very excited to have Ramsey as a Bulldog.”
“Together with Jose (Reyes)
and Steven (Tucker), the ‘Texas Trio' combined for 62 goals last
season. We, as a team, have loaded up offensively during this recruiting
season; now it's up to the players to perform on the field.”
Ramsey is the son of Danette
and Danny Mullins of Wylie , Tex. Ramsey plans to major in auto
restoration/business education at McPherson College .

Tucker
signs with Bulldog strikers
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Steven Tucker of Fort Worth, Tex., to a soccer
letter of intent for the 2005-2006 school year.

Joining
Steven Tucker for his letter of intent signing are his mother, Michele
Tucker, along with (back) Reed Hardgrave, McPherson College assistant
coach, and Charles Brown.
The 5'11”, 165-pound Tucker
was a four-year letter winner at Crowley High School in Crowley,
Tex., for coach Bryon Johnson. During his final three prep seasons,
he was Crowley HS' leading scorer three years and assist leader
twice, and will graduate this spring as the school's all-time career
leader in both goals and assists, with 62 goals and 43 assists.
Crowley High School 's all-time
career scoring and assist leader, Tucker was the district offensive
MVP, a preseason all-state selection, and NSCAA All-American nominee.
Three times he was named to the All-District and Fort Worth Region
first teams and All-Area second team.
As a senior he scored 22
goals and dished off 15 assists. His junior totals of 17 goals and
17 assists followed a sophomore campaign in which he rung up 20
goals and 10 assists as a junior.
“Last season we struggled
to find the back of the net,” said Doug Quint, McPherson College
head soccer coach. “This off-season our focus in recruiting was
to sign a handful of offensive players, who have the ability to
finish? With this in mind, I'm extremely pleased to add yet another
goal scorer to our 2005 class.”
“Steven comes to us as the
13 th leading scorer in Class 4A in the entire state of Texas .
He amassed 62 goals and 43 assists in his four-year high school
career, and became Crowley High School 's #1 all-time career scorer.”
“Steven's stats tell the
whole story. He's one heck of a player and I look for great things
from him over the next four years. Steven was a teammate of Jose
Reye's up front for the Solar Soccer Club. They have played together
and know each other well. Whenever you have a chance to get a group
of players that know each other, respect each other, and have played
together, it's huge!”
“Together, Steven and Jose
scored a combined 44 goals during just their senior years.”
Steven is the son of Michele
Tucker of Fort Worth , Tex.

join McPherson soccer
Reyes
and Rodriguez ink with Bulldogs
McPherson College has announced
the recent signings of Jose Reyes and Jose Rodriguez of Dallas,
Texas, and Woodrow Wilson High School to soccer letters of intent
for the 2005-2006 school year.
“I am extremely pleased to
add these two fine, young men to our 2005 incoming class,” said
Doug Quint, McPherson College soccer coach. “They are going to be
impact players for us right away, and I can't wait to get them to
campus!”

The 5'6”, 135-pound Reyes
was a four-year letter winner for Woodrow Wilson and coach Denny
Romero. Reyes scored 27 goals his senior season. As a junior, he
was named to the All-District first team and received “Player
of the Week” honors from The Dallas Morning News.
“Jose Reyes is the goal scoring
addition we've been searching for,” said Quint. “He is the complete
package, and is considered by many to be one of the top strikers
in the state of Texas. His accomplishments and honors over the years
speak for themselves! I believe Jose has a chance to be a very special
player for us at McPherson College.”
Reyes is the son of Victor
and Maria Reyes of Dallas, Texas. He plans to major in business
at McPherson College. Reyes' father played professional soccer in
El Salvador.
The 5'7”, 150-pound Rodriguez
was a four-year letter winner at Woodrow Wilson. He received first
team All-District honors and was named Dale Hansen's “McDonald Student
Athlete of the Week.”
“Jose Rodriguez is going
to fill a major role for us at an outside mid-field position,” offered
Quint. “Flank mids are one of the most important positions on the
field in the system we play. Jose will bring a lot of play making
ability and speed to that position. He sees the field well and has
quite a connection with his buddy Jose Reyes up top. He is going
to be a very dangerous player out wide for us.”
Rodriguez is the son of Luis
Rodriguez of Dallas , Texas . He plans to major in business.

McCrae
signs with Bulldog strikers
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Sean Briton McCrae of Marietta, Ga., to a
soccer letter of intent for the 2005-2006 school year.
The 5'7”, 140-pound McCrae
was a four-year letter winner for Marietta High School under coach
Andy Kaplan.
“Sean is a great signing
for us,” said Doug Quint, McPherson College head soccer coach. “Not
only is he a good player, he is a classy individual.”
“Sean is a good attacking
player that will increase our depth in the mid-field. He possesses
a great work ethic to along with his athletic ability. He has good
technical skills, is smart under pressure, and sees the field well.”
“I expect a lot of good things
from Sean over the next four years.”
As a freshman at Marietta
High, McCrae was the recipient of the “Blue Devils' Award.”
Sean is the son of Brenda
McCrae of Marietta , Ga. McCrae plans to major in pre-veterinary
medicine at McPherson College.

Basehor-Linwood's
Box signs with Bulldog strikers
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Nicholas Box of Linwood, Kan. , to a soccer
letter of intent for the 2005-2006 school year.
The 6'5” Box was a defender
for Basehor-Linwood High School where he received second team All-Kaw
Valley League honors as a senior after being named to the all-league
honorable mention squad his junior season. He was named Basehor-Linwood's
“Most Valuable Player” and Defensive Player of the Year.
“I'm very pleased to receive
a commitment from Nicholas to attend McPherson College and be a
part of our soccer program,” said Doug Quint, McPherson College
head soccer coach. “He is a quality student-athlete that is going
to have a lot of success here.
“Nicholas received the highest
academic award we offer at McPherson College , the ‘Presidential
Scholarship'.
“He is very tall, a strong,
agile player who tackles the ball very well. I look for him to make
us stronger in the middle of the park!
“It's not everyday as a coach
that you have the opportunity to sign a 6'5” field player in soccer.
Usually, they're goal keepers! To have him as a part of our program,
automatically makes us stronger and tougher in the air as a team.
“We gave up far too many
goals last year in the air and thus far, we are taking steps in
the right direction to fix that! With the addition of Nicholas,
the center of our team could very well be 6'5”, 6'5”, 6'3” and 6'1”.
That will be an eye opener for our opponents! We already have a
lot of team speed, now we can add the height to go with it!
The son of Dale Box and Jennifer
Seveland-Box of Linwood , Kan. , Nicholas plans to major in history
education at McPherson College .
Nicholas' mother was a
two-time All-American in volleyball at Southwest Missouri State
University and is a member of the SMSU Hall of Fame.

McDaniel
inks with McPherson soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Nathan McDaniel of Ponca City , Okla. , to
a soccer letter of intent for the 2005-2006 school year.
The
6'3”, 200-pound McDaniel played center back the last two years at
Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa. At NOC, Nathan was a teammate
of current Bulldog D.J. Townsend as the Mavericks advanced to the
national final four in 2003 under coach Mike Duroy.
A 2003 graduate of Ponca
City High School , McDaniel was part of two state playoff soccer
teams. In his only season of prep swimming, Nathan qualified for
the Oklahoma state swimming championships in the 50m freestyle.
“I am extremely pleased to
keep our recruiting pipeline flowing from Northern Oklahoma College
,” said Doug Quint, McPherson College head soccer coach. “Each year
they are competing at the national level and producing some outstanding
student-athletes.
“Nathan will play a very
significant role for us next year, either in midfield or in the
center back position. His leadership will be vital for us and is
an area we need to strengthen.
“Nathan will bring us a strong
work ethic and a huge physical presence to our team along with his
solid technical abilities. His decision making and physical strength
on the pitch set him apart. He is calm under pressure, strong on
the ball, and makes good decisions.
“D.J. (Townsend, r KCAC ‘Newcomer
of the Year' in 2004) was a teammate of Nathan's at Northern Oklahoma
, and played an important role in helping us sign Nathan.
“I am really looking forward
to having Nathan as a Bulldog!”
Listed in Who's Who, both
in high school and junior college, Nathan was a member of the Ponca
City HS chapter of the National Honors Society and made the Dean's
List at Northern Oklahoma College .
The son of Jim and Kerry
McDaniel of Ponca City, Okla. , Nathan plans to major in mathematics
at McPherson College .
