The following is a list of all signings for the 2006 season
starting with the most recent signing.
Hernandez
joins Bulldog strikers
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Juan Hernandez of Great Bend, Kan., to a soccer
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'11”, 180-pound Hernandez
is a 2003 graduate of Great Bend High School where he played for
Juan Aguirre.
Juan spent the last year
at Dodge City Community College where he was a member of coach Aaron
Aberg's Conquistador squad.
“Juan will be a nice addition
to McPherson College,” said McPherson head coach Doug Quint. “He
brings junior college experience to the squad and that is vital
for the continued success of the program.”
“Juan is a hard-nosed defensive
player who will provide much needed depth to our backline.”
“I'm looking forward to watching
his improvement and growth as a player in our program.”
Hernandez will have three
years of eligibility remaining as a Bulldog.
Juan is the son of Norma
Moreno of Great Bend, Kan. He plans to major in business at McPherson
College.

Rodriguez
signs with Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Armando Rodriguez of Dallas, Texas, to a soccer
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'7”, 130-pound Rodriguez
lettered four years in soccer under coach Denny Romero and one year
in football at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas.
A 2006 graduate of Woodrow
Wilson HS, Rodriguez scored 33 goals to rank first in WWHS' Class
4A Region. Armando was a first team All-District selection and was
named “Offensive Player of the Year” as senior.
“I'm very pleased things
worked out for Armando to join us at McPherson College,” said McPherson
head coach Doug Quint. “He is a very dangerous left-footed attacking
player that has the ability to finish (scoring plays).”
“His ability to take players
one-on-one is what sets him apart. He led his high school team scoring
and played for a very good club team in Texas.”
“Armando has the ability
to help us as a freshman. How much and how quickly will depend on
how he adjust to the college game.”
Armando is the son of Luis
and Maria Rodriguez of Dallas, Texas. Armando plans to major in
music at McPherson College where he will join his brother Jose as
part of the Bulldog soccer program.

Lazarin
joins Bulldog strikers
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Diego Lazarin of Garden City to a soccer letter
of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'7” Lazarin is a 2006
graduate of Garden City High School where he played one season for
coach Joaquin Padilla. He also attended Garden City Community College
this past semester.
“I'm real please that things
have worked out for Diego to attend McPherson College next year,”
said McPherson head coach Doug Quint. “He will provide us with more
depth at a very important position (i.e., goal keeper).”
“I see Diego developing into
a fine college (goal) keeper over the next four years.”
“I owe his cousin and current
Bulldog Orland Dominquez a lot of thanks for his assistance in the
recruiting of Diego.”
Diego is the son of Alicia
Arredondo and Jose Lazarin of Garden City, Kan. He plans to major
in accounting education at McPherson College with a career goal
of teaching and coaching at the high school level.

Torres
signs with Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Juan Torres of Garden City, Kan., and Dodge
City Community College to a soccer letter of intent for the 2006-2007
school year.
The 5'11”, 185-pound Torres
was an All-Western Athletic Conference and All-Area selection both
his junior and senior years after being named second team All-State
as a junior.
A 2004 graduate of Garden
City High School, Torres was named the Buffaloes' “Player of the
Year” as a senior for coach Joaquin Padilla.
Torres has played under coaches
Adam Huto and Aaron Aberg at Dodge City Community College the past
two years.
“I am very pleased Juan has
decided to attend McPherson College ,” said McPherson head coach
Doug Quint. “Juan is a guy I tried to recruit two years ago straight
out of the high school.”
“Juan is another guy that
I remember competing against while (coaching) at Hutchinson High.
It's nice to get him this go-around.”
“Juan brings collegiate experience
to our program, and that is vital for our continued growth. He is
versatile as a player and can help us out in many ways.”
“I owe current Bulldog Orlando
Dominguez a lot of thanks for his help in signing Juan.”
“I'm looking forward to Juan's
contributions to our program over the next two years.”
Juan is the son of Alba Luz
Torres of Garden City, Kan. He plans to major in education at McPherson
College .

Burke
signs with Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Paul Burke of Derby, Kan., to a soccer letter
of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'11”, 155-pound Burke
played the last two years at Allen County Community College in Iola,
Kan., under coaches Corey Feerer and Doug Desmarteau. This past
season, Burke was selected captain of the Red Devils.

Paul
Burke is joined for his letter of intent with the Bulldogs by his

head coach, and Doug Quint, McPherson College head soccer coach.
A 2004 graduate of Derby,
Kan., High School, Burke received All-Ark Valley League first team
honors his senior season under coach Mike Frazee. Burke was also
named to the Class 6A All-State and All-Region squads, and was selected
as Derby High's “Male Athlete of the Year.”
“Paul is a terrific addition
to our squad and McPherson College,” said McPherson head coach Doug
Quint. “With the loss of Robert Magana-Garcia to graduation, I really
felt we need to sign Paul in order for us to continue our improvement
as a program.”
“Paul played in the tough
Kansas Jayhawk Conference, and this experience will be vital for
our squad's growth.”
“Our program took major steps
forward last fall, and to continue that success, we needed to add
players with the ability to play at a high level.”
“Paul will make us better
in the back next year. He's great technically, strong on the ball,
and really reads the game well. I look for him to play an outside
back at this point.”
“Paul had great success at
Derby High School , which is considered by most to be one of the
best Class 6A programs in the state. I remember having some great
battles against him while I was (coaching) at Hutchinson (High School).
As an alumnus of Allen County Community College , I was real pleased
to draw his interest and follow his career there. I look forward
to the next two years, of finally having him on my side.”
Paul is the son of Byron
and Marlys Burke of Derby , Kan. He plans to major in secondary
education.

White
commits to Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Amos White of Wichita, Kan., to a soccer letter
of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'2”, 190-pound White
played the last two years at Neosho County Community College under
coach Mike Keifer after graduating from Campus High School in Haysville
in 2004.

Joining
Amos White for his letter of intent signing are his mother, Donna,

soccer coach, Doug Quint.
As a senior at Campus High,
where he played for coach Jeromy Swearingen, White received second
team All-State recognition as well as first team All-Region honors.
He was twice named to the All-Ark Valley League second team.
“Amos is a guy that I tried
to recruit to McPherson College straight out of high school,” said
McPherson head coach Doug Quint. “I remember competing against him
while (coaching) at Hutchinson (High School).”
“Amos was one of the best
players at Campus High School at the time, and played an integral
part in their success.”
“Amos decided to go another
direction and attend Neosho County Community College , where he
helped turn that program around, in the right direction.”
“Amos brings good size, strength,
and obvious, collegiate experience to our squad next year. He played
many different positions throughout his career and that versatility
gives us a lot of options with him.”
“I really look forward to
his contribution to our squad over the next two years.”
Amos is the son of Steven
and Donna White of Wichita , Kan.

Godfrey
commits to Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of John Godfrey of Smithville, Missouri, to a
soccer letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'0”, 165-pound Godfrey
received District first team honors as a junior and senior. As a
sophomore and again as a senior, Godfrey was named to the all-state
honorable mention squad.
Godfrey was selected captain
of the Jon Reed coached Smithville team as a senior, and ended his
prep career with 30 shut-outs to his credit.
“I am very pleased to have
John joining us at McPherson College,” said McPherson head coach
Doug Quint.
“He is a great guy, and as
a (goal) keeper, brings a lot of talent to the table. John has nice
size, good shot stopping ability, and is very quick and agile.”
“Over time, he's going to
become a great college keeper for us.”
“John had a fantastic career
at Smithville High School, posting 30 shut-outs.”
“John plays club soccer in
Missouri for a very good club, Futura FC.”
“Increasing our depth at
the goal keeper position was a high priority for us this off-season.
I hope John's signing enable us to open a pipeline with Futura FC
in the future.”
Godfrey is the son of John
and Shari Godfrey.

Rodriguez
signs with Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Eduardo Rodriguez of Dallas, Texas, and Skyline
High School to a soccer letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school
year.
The 5'7” Rodriguez has been
a starter at midfield for Skyline under coach Danny Barentine as
well as FC Dallas which has qualified for the Dallas Cup.

“Eddie will be a great
addition to McPherson College and our soccer program,” said McPherson
head coach Doug Quint. “He is a good student and a nice player.
Eddie is technically sound on the ball and sees the field very well.”
“Eddie plays the center midfield
and I look for him to increase our depth there.”
“His club team, FC Dallas,
is one of the premier teams in Texas , and this season they qualified
for the Dallas Cup, which is quite an honor.”
“Eddie is good friends with
current Bulldog player Jose Reyes, and I owe a lot to Jose for assisting
in the recruitment of Eddie.”
Eddie is the son of Abel
and Esmeralda Rodriguez of Dallas , Texas . He plans to major in
art at McPherson College .

Campus
High's Ramirez signs with Mac soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Christopher Ramirez of Wichita, Kan., and
Campus High School to a soccer letter of intent for the 2006-2007
school year.
The 5'7”, 132-pound Ramirez
was named to the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League first team as
a mid-fielder following his senior season at Campus High. He was
also named to the 2005 Southwest Region second team.

Chris
Ramirez is joined for his signing with the Bulldogs' soccer program
by (front, left) Doug Quint, McPherson College head coach, and his
parents, Christina and Michael Johnstonbaugh along with (back) Jeromy
Swearingen, Campus HS head soccer coach.
As a senior, Chris was
credited with six goals and nine assists for the Campus Colts under
coach Jeromy Swearingen.
“I am very pleased to make
Chris our first signing for 2006,” said McPherson head coach Doug
Quint. “He will increase our depth at outside midfield and help
us out in many ways there.”
“Chris has the ability to
get in behind people one-on-one out wide and this makes him dangerous
on the ball.”
“Chris is not only a very
talented soccer player, he's an extremely skilled artist as well.
He is going to be a great addition to our graphics design department
as well as our soccer program.”
“Chris had a very successful
four years at Campus High School , and his club team, Air Capital
Pumas, is the top U18 team in the state of Kansas .”
Chris is the son of Christina
and Michael Johnstonbaugh of Wichita , Kan.
