the number of honors received by our young women,” said Doug Quint,

felt with the seasons we had, we should have had more players recognized
and/or ranked higher.”
Monique
Buhl , a 2005 graduate of Temple (Texas) High School, was
named to the All-KCAC first team for the second time this fall.
The sophomore forward led McPherson with 11 regular season goals

“Monique played very well
this season despite dealing with injuries all year,” said Quint.
“Finally her season came to an end at home against Friends with
a torn meniscus.”
“Monique is a very dangerous
offensive player who creates all kinds of things around her. We
definitely struggled offensively this year without her on the field.”
“I plan on making sure she
works really hard this off-season to get back to playing at 110%.”
A bio-chemistry major, Monique
is the daughter of Massey and Denise Buhl of Temple, Texas.
Denise
Rinke, a 2003 graduate of Haysville-Campus High School,

“Denise will definitely be
missed! She is going to be a hard one to replace.”
“We depended on Denise in
the center of mid-field for possession of the ball. She is one of
the most dedicated and hard working players I have every coached.”
“Denise had a great senior
year and really deserved the all-conference recognition. She solidified
herself as one of the best mid-fielders in the conference and it
was nice that other coaches recognized this.”

“Defensively, Victoria was
our foundation. She held us together all year long and really provided
us with a strong center back.”
“ Victoria is a very good
player in the air and tackles the ball very hard. Teams had a hard
time scoring on us this year and her leadership and ability back
there had a lot to due with it. She had a good season for us this
year and continued to improve each day.”
