Signings
The following is a list of all signings for the 2006 season
starting with the most recent signing.
Carmody
signs with Lady Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Lauren Carmody of San Antonio, Texas, to a
soccer letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'4” Carmody played for
MacArthur High School in San Antonio under coach Dennis Bryan and
for the Lions FC out of San Antonio.
“I am very please to have
Lauren commit to McPherson College,” said McPherson College head
coach, Doug Quint. “I first saw her play while attending a showcase
tournament in Texas and was impressed with her play.”
“Lauren is a well rounded
player with the ability to play many different positions. Her experience
at center midfield and center back will be very important to us
next fall.”
Courtney is the daughter
of Jennifer Casanova and Patrick Carmody of San Antonio, Texas.
She plans to major in psychology at McPherson College.

Daniels
signs with Lady Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Bryanna Daniels of Longmont, Colo., to a soccer
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'5” Daniels was a two-year
letter winner in soccer under coaches Megan Beasley and Nate Oliver
at Longmont High School.

“I'm very pleased to have
Bryanna joining our program next fall,” said McPherson College head
coach, Doug Quint. “she comes from a soccer hot bed.”
“I have been working hard
to sing more players from the Colorado area. There is some of the
country's best soccer out there.”
“Bryanna is an experienced
player that is going to help us out immediately, in a lot of ways.
I look for her to play wide at either a back or mid-field position
next fall.”
Bryanna is the daughter
of Andrea Brening and Scott Daniels of Longmont, Colo.
She will be a biology/pre-med
major at McPherson College.

Lady
Bulldogs sign Iowa Central duo
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Iowa Central Community College 's Brittany
Bowman and Sara Kramme to soccer letters of intent for the 2006-2007
school year.
After going 12-5-2 in 2004,
Iowa Central CC completed 2005 season by finishing 7 th at the national
tournament with an overall record of 17-2-3 after winning the ICCAC,
district, and Region IV crowns and being ranked as high as sixth
in the national junior college polls under coach Willie McGowan.

“I'm thrilled to have Brit
and Kramme joining our program and our family here at McPherson
College ,” said McPherson head coach Doug Quint. “These two ladies
have been part of one of the best junior college soccer programs
in the nation, and they really know what it take win!”
“Their commitment to McPherson
College is huge! I really feel the signing of these ladies, to go
along with our talented freshman class, gives us the talent necessary
to do some nice things next year. I will look to these ladies for
much needed leadership, on and off the field.”
From Adel, Iowa, the 5'8”
Kramme received first All-Region honors in 2005 and was named the
2005 NJCAA National All-Tournament goalie.
As a sophomore, Kramme posted
an outstanding 0.719 goals against average as the Fort Dodge team
allowed only 15 goals for the season. She was credited with 13 shut-outs
and 122 saves. As a freshman, Kramme was named to the 2004 NJCAA
All-Region second team.
During Kramme's two years
between the posts, the Tritons were 29-7-5.
Kramme, from Adel, Iowa,
lettered in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track at Adel-DeSoto-Minburn
High School where she was named soccer “Most Valuable Player” and
received all-conference honors.
“Kramme was one of the premier
keepers in the nation last fall. She broke numerous records and
received a many individuals to go along with her team's success
as Iowa Central finished the year ranked sixth in the NJCAA national
polls.”
“The signing of Kramme provides
us with a major talent in the most important position on the field.
She is a huge presence in the frame, and possesses great hands,
quickness, and wonderful leadership skills.”
“I believe Kramme gives us
one of the best keepers in the region and she is only going to improve.”
From Casey, Iowa, the 5'2”
Bowman was an All-Region second team selection her sophomore season
at Iowa Central CC after being named honorable mention All-Region
as a freshman.
Bowman was a three-year letter
winner in soccer, basketball, and softball at Adair-Casey High School.
There she was named “Most Valuable Offensive Player” in soccer,
and twice received all-conference honors in softball and once in
volleyball.
“Brit is a wonderful back
who played an integral part in the success of Iowa Central the last
two years,” said Quint. “Defensively, last year's team broke several
school records including only allowing 15 goals all season, and
Brit was a big part of that defensive success.”
“In addition to her All-Region
honors, Brit was named to the 2005 NJCAA All-Tournament team at
the national championships.”
“Brit will fill an immediate
need for us in the back. She is a physically strong player who tackles
the ball hard and distributes well from her position. We needed
to get better defensively this off-season, and obviously, we have
done that.”
Kramme is the daughter of
Steve and Ana Kramme of Adel , Iowa . She will major in art and
education at McPherson College
Bowman is the daughter of
Chad and Sheila Lippincott of Casey , Iowa . She plans to major
in accounting and sociology/criminal justice at McPherson College.

Castelli
signs with Lady Bulldog soccer

McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Courtney Castelli of Hutchinson, Kan., and
Hutchinson High School to a soccer letter of intent for the 2006-2007
school year.
The 5'7” Castelli was selected
to the All-Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League second team defense
following her sophomore and junior seasons under coach Chris Reeves.

Joining
Courtney for her letter of intent signing along with members of
the Hutchinson High soccer team were [third from left] Doug Quint
(McPherson College head soccer coach), [left behind table] mother
Susan Castelli, [behind in dark shirt] sister Abbey Castelli, [gray
shirt, center] Courtney, [behind, wearing cap] Chris Reeves (Hutchinson
HS head soccer coach) , and [orange shirt] brother Colton.
Castelli was also named
honorable mention All-AVCTL libero in volleyball in 2005.
“I'm extremely pleased that
Courtney has decided to join our family here at McPherson College,”
said McPherson College head coach, Doug Quint. “As a former Hutchinson
(High School) player and coach, I desperately wanted to sign her.”
“I feel that Courtney will
help us immediately in many ways. Her work ethic and passion for
the game is second to none. She work so hard to improve every day,
and really loves the game.”
“Defensively, Courtney will
bring great skills to our program. She tackles the ball hard, reads
the game well, and really can flight a ball out of the back.”
“I believe Courtney will
make an immediate impact in our back line.”
“Hutch High has dealt with
more adversity than a team needs this year. They lost a ton of starting,
veteran players to injuries and sickness at the beginning of the
season. Courtney missed the first nine games due to mono and strep.
Now that she and others are healthy, Hutch is playing their best
soccer of the season.”
“Hutch beat a good Wichita
South team 3-1 on the day of her signing. You couldn't tell she
has missed almost the entire season. She looked real good on the
field at center back, and played like she hasn't missed a beat.”
Courtney is the daughter
of Susan Castelli of Hutchinson, Kan. She will be a biology/pre-dentistry
major at McPherson College.

Cauthon
signs with Lady Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Heidi Cauthon of Borger, Texas, to a soccer
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'4” Cauthon was a three-time
All-District second team selection at Borger High School for coach
Linda Washer. She was also Borger High's “Fight Heart” and “Top
Dawg” selection.

who is going to make an immediate contribution for us in mid-field

player, who sees the field well, works extremely hard and is very
aggressive.”
“I can't wait to see her
on the pitch with us next year and I look forward to watching her
grow as a player.”
“Our program owes a lot of

for their assistance in the signing of Heidi.”
Heidi is the daughter of
Robert and Trena Cauthon of Borger, Texas. She will be an elementary
education major at McPherson College .

King
inks with Lady Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Bryanna King of Gallup , New Mexico , to a
soccer letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'11” King was an All-District
selection as a senior at Gallup High School for coach Marcos Chavez.
“I'm very please to have
Bryanna joining us at McPherson College,” said McPherson head coach
Doug Quint. “She was a recipient of our prestigious Presidential
Scholarship and has strong family ties to McPherson College.”
“Bryanna is a great athlete,
who participated in a variety of sports during her prep career,
lettering in soccer, tennis, and track.”
“Her height will be one of
the many assets she brings to our team. She will help us immediately
in the middle of the pitch, and I look forward to having her as
a part of the Bulldog program for the next four years.”
A McPherson College legacy
recruit, Bryanna is the daughter of Phil King '82 and Linda vanAsselt-King
‘83 of Gallup . She will be a pre-medicine major at McPherson College
.

Rodriguez
signs with Lady Bulldog soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Nicolette Rodriguez of Fort Worth, Texas,
and Central High School to a soccer letter of intent for the 2006-2007
school year.
The
Joining
Nicolette Rodriguez for the signing of her McPherson College letter
of intent were (back, left) Melissa Forgey (Central HS soccer coach),
Kathy Rodriguez (mother), Alisha Rodriguez (sister), and Doug Quint
(McPherson College head soccer coach).
5'3” Rodriguez received
All-District honorable mention honors under coach Melissa Forgey
at Central High.
“I'm very excited about Nicolette
committing to McPherson College,” said McPherson head coach Doug
Quint. “She is a great student and a wonderful soccer player.”
“Nicolette will contribute
immediately at either a wide mid-field position or as an outside
back.”
“She brings a great work
ethic and a positive attitude to go along with her speed and skills.”
“I was impressed with her
play when I got to see her at the Arlington Showcase (in Texas)
where she was playing club soccer for the Keller United Ramblers.”
“I look forward to having
her as a part of McPherson College and our soccer program the next
four years.”
Nicolette is the daughter
of Kathy and Carlos Rodriguez of Fort Worth, Texas. She will be
a pre-medicine major at McPherson College.
