Signings
The following is a list of all signings for the 2007 season
starting with the most recent signing.
Calderon signs with
McPherson soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Ana Calderon of Lone Tree, Colo., and Grandview
High School of Aurora, Colo., to a soccer letter of intent for the
2007-2008 school year.
The 5'9” Calderon helped
lead Grandview High, coached by Bruce Brown, to the #2 seed in the
32-team Colorado high school Class 5A state tournament. Grandview
suffered a 1-0 upset loss in the tournament quarterfinals to the
eventual 5A state champions, ending GHS' 15-2-1 season.
Outside the interscholastic
season, Calderon most recently played for Littleton United under
coach Katie Henderson.
“Ana is a huge signing for
us,” said McPherson College head soccer coach, Doug Quint. “She
is a tremendous front runner and possesses all the tools necessary
to be a big-time player in the KCAC.”
“Ana is strong with her back
to the goal, technical on the ball and has that finishing touch
every player needs.”
“We as a staff kept our fingers
crossed that everything would work out for her to play at McPherson
College . Now, she'll have the opportunity.”
Ana is the daughter of Anna
and Antonio Calderon of Lone Tree, Colo. She plans to major in communications.

Stahr
inks with McPherson soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Jessica Stahr of York, Neb., to a soccer letter
of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.

Jessica
Stahr is joined for her letter of intent signing by McPherson College

The 5'6” Stahr played the
past two seasons for McPherson assistant coach Robert Talley at
York College.
“Jess is a versatile player
who can be a threat up top or as an outside midfielder,” said McPherson
assistant coach Rob Talley. “She brings experience to a rather young
squad. We are looking for her and the other upper classmen joining
the program to set the tone in leadership and quality of play.”
“We are certainly pleased
that Jessica has decided to follow Coach (Robert) Talley to McPherson
College ,” said McPherson College head soccer coach, Doug Quint.
“She will provide us with additional maturity up top and at midfield.”
Jessica is the daughter of
Orval Stahr of York, Neb. She will be majoring in graphic design.

Baldi
signs with McPherson soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Alyssa Baldi of Northglenn, Colo., to a soccer
letter of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.
The
5'5” Baldi was a four-year letter winner in soccer and three years
in basketball at Northglenn High School.
Baldi received first team
all-region and second team all-conference honors as a senior for
coach Jeffery Carrol after earning honorable mention all-conference
honors as a sophomore.
She was named Northglenn
's MVP as a senior, “enforcer” as a junior, defensive MVP as a sophomore,
and freshman MVP.
“We are very excited to add
another quality young lady from Colorado to our family at McPherson
College,” said McPherson College head soccer coach, Doug Quint.
“Alyssa is a strong technical player on the ball.”
“Alyssa is a very aggressive
defensive mid-fielder who distributes the ball well. I look for
her to make an immediate contribution to our team this fall.”
Alyssa is the daughter of
Trista Bogacz of Northglenn and Tony Baldi of Arvada, Colo.

Williams
signs with McPherson soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Whitney Williams of Salt Lake City, Utah,
to a soccer letter of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.
The 5'4” Williams will enter
McPherson College as a sophomore. She was named to the All-MCAC
and NCCAA All-Central Region second teams last fall while playing
at York College for coach Robert Talley.
Whitney
was an honorable mention All-Nebraska selection as she led all MCAC
freshmen in scoring with six goals.
A 2006 graduate of Skyline
High School in Salt Lake City , Williams was a two-year letter winner
in soccer for coach Greg Deyle.
“We are certainly pleased
that Whitney has decided to follow Coach (Robert) Talley to McPherson
College ,” said McPherson College head soccer coach, Doug Quint.
“She will provide us with a key playmaker in the center of mid-field.”
“Whitney sees the field well,
is strong on the ball, and distributes well in possession. She will
make an immediate impact for us in many ways.”
Whitney is the daughter of
Nash and Ann Williams of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Colorado
striker duo signs with McPherson soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Amanda Aragon and Haley
Cook to soccer letters of intent for the 2007-2008 school
year.

Haley
Cook was joined by her parents Shirlee and Brad Cook for her letter
of intent signing.
The 5'4” Cook
is a 2007 graduate of Arapahoe High School, Centennial, Colo., where
she was named Most Valuable Player and led Arapahoe in scoring for
coach Kirk Bast.
“I am excited Haley chose
to attend McPherson College next year, and to continue her soccer
career in our program,” said McPherson College head coach Doug Quint.
“She is a proven scorer at both the high school and club levels.”
“Haley has all the tools
to become a very dangerous collegiate scorer. I'm looking for great
things from her over the next four years.”
Haley is the daughter of
Brad and Shirlee Cook of Centennial, Colo.

Amanda
Aragon's letter of intent signing was a family affair. Joining
her were (left to right) cousin Joe Aragon, brother Gerald Aragon,
grandfather Mike Aragon, Sr., mother Maureen Aragon, Amanda Aragon,
brother Dylan Aragon, father Mike Aragon, Jr., grandmother Mary
Aragon.
The 5'5” Aragon
is a 2007 graduate of Horizon High School in Brighton,
Colo., where she was an all-conference academic selection for coach
Cheryl Dison.
“Amanda is a great addition
for our McPherson College soccer program,” said Quint. “She is another
proven goal scorer that has all the tools to become a great collegiate
forward.”
“Amanda had a great high
school career and I look for that to carry over to the collegiate
ranks.”
Amanda is the daughter of
Mike and Maureen Aragon of Thornton, Colo.

McEndree
joins McPherson soccer squad
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Ashley McEndree of Humble, Texas, to a soccer
letter of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.

Ashley
McEndree is joined for her letter of intent signing by (left) her
father Steve McEndree and McPherson College head coach Doug Quint.
Ashley was a 2006 graduate
of Humble High School in Texas, where she was a four-time All-District
choice for coach Mike Masters.
During the 2006-2007 school
year, McEndree was at York College in Nebraska where she played
for current McPherson College assistant coach Robert Talley.
“I am very please to have
Ashley transferring to McPherson College,” said McPherson College
soccer coach, Doug Quint. “Her year of collegiate experience is
going to be huge for your very young squad next year.”
“Ashley will provide us with
another solid flank player, who is strong on the ball. I look forward
to nice things from her over the next three years.”
Ashley will be a biochemistry/pre-med
major at McPherson College.
Ashley is the daughter of
Steve and Loanna McEndree of Humble, Texas.

Kirkman
joins McPherson soccer squad
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Kristen Kirkman of Oklahoma City, Okla., to
a soccer letter of intent for the 2007-2008 school year.
“We
are very please that Kristen has decided to continue her soccer
career at McPherson College,” said McPherson College soccer coach,
Doug Quint. “She will make a nice addition for us out wide, and
will give us much needed depth.”
Kirkman is a 2007 graduate
of Midwest City High School in Oklahoma, where she played for coach
Bonnie Kesner.
The recipient of a McPherson
College Presidential Scholarship, Kristen plans to major in biochemistry.
Kristen is the daughter
of Michael and Raetta Kirkman of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Allen
County trio signs with McPherson soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Lori Coykendall, Lauryn
Morriss, and Jonelle Miller of Allen
County Community College in Iola, Kan., to soccer letters of intent
for the 2007-2008 school year.

Joining
the Lady Bulldogs next fall will be the Allen County CC trio of
(left) Jonelle Miller, Lauryn Morriss, and Lori Coykendall.
“I am very excited to add
another three players to the list of transfers to McPherson College
from my alma mater, Allen County,” said McPherson College head soccer
coach Doug Quint. “My friend Doug Desmarteau continues to do a great
job with the ACCC program, and the type of student athletes he signs
there.”
“These young ladies attest
to that. They're very hard working individuals, both on and off
the field. They will be a great addition to McPherson College, individually
and collectively!”
The 5'5” Coykendall
is a 2005 graduate of Rose Hill High School where she
lettered three years and served as captain of the Rockets her senior
year for coach Joel Blessing.
“With the loss of All-American
center-midfielder Denise Rinke to graduation, it was a must for
us to find an immediate replacement. I believe we have that player
in Lori.”
“Lori is a proven collegiate
player in the tough Jayhawk Conference. She is very technical on
the ball with good vision and offensive skills. Lori will give us
an immediate play maker in the center of mid-field. I expect great
things from Lori over the next two years.”
Lori is the daughter of Charles
and Sandra Coykendall of Derby , Kan. Lori plans to major in biology/pre-optometry.
The 5'7” Morriss
is a 2005 graduate of Mulvane High School where she lettered
two years for coach Leon Stranothan, and co-captained the Wildcats
her final prep season.
“Lauryn is a solid defensive
player who will bring much needed experience and leadership to our
back line. We needed to improve defensively and Lauryn will help
us do just that.”
“Lauryn is a very smart and
simple player, who tackles the ball well and possesses good pace.
I look for her to come in and make us better defensively right away.”
Lauryn is the daughter of
Rock and Nancy Morriss of Mulvane, Kan. She plans to major in psychology.
The 5'7” Miller
is also a 2005 graduate of Mulvane High School where she lettered
in soccer for two seasons co-captained the Wildcats along with Mulvane,
Allen County, and McPherson teammate Lauryn Morriss.
“Jonelle is a very intelligent
young lady that will bring more experience and additional depth
to our back line.”
“Jonelle is a very hard working,
dedicated player who has a nice presence on the pitch. She will
help improve us in playing the ball in the air. I look forward to
our next two years together.”
Jonelle is the daughter of
Stephen and Teresa Miller of Mulvane , Kan. She plans to major in
business at McPherson College.

Four
sign with McPherson soccer
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Andrea Swanson of Littleton,
Colo., Amy Huxtable of Shawnee, Kan., Colleen
Brennan of Topeka, Kan., and Jessica Wisdom
of Salina, Kan., to soccer letters of intent for the 2007-2008 school
year.
All four young ladies are
recipients of the McPherson College Presidential Scholarship.
The 5'8” Swanson
is a McPherson College Presidential Scholarship recipient.
Following this spring she will have competed in soccer for four
years under coach Tony Hart at Heritage High School in Littleton
. Last spring, Heritage HS advanced to the Colorado state semifinals
last spring, where it lost to the eventual state champion, 1-0.

Joining
Swanson for her letter of intent signing were (front, left) mother
Joyce Swanson and McPherson College head coach Doug Quint along
with current Bulldogs and future teammates Brittany Bowman, Victoria
Salas, Sara Kramme, Courtney Castelli, and Nicolette Rodriguez.
“Andrea is a wonder signing
for us,” said McPherson College head soccer coach Doug Quint. “She
is a very technically gifted keeper with a lot of athleticism and
size.”
“I see Andrea making an immediate
impact in our program.”
“I'm excited to now have
two extremely talented keepers to challenge each other for minutes
next fall.
Swanson placed fourth in
the shot put at the 2006 Colorado 5A state meet in her first season
of interscholastic track & field as a junior. She will also
be competing in track & field at McPherson College .
Andrea is the daughter of
Joyce and Scott Swanson of Littleton , Colo. She plans to major
in education.
The
5'8” Huxtable was a four year letter winner for
Shawnee Mission North High School under coach Chris Zuck. She most
recently played club soccer for the under 18 NEU Stars.

for Amy Huxtable's letter of intent signing were (front, left) her

An outstanding student, Amy
is a recipient of the McPherson College Presidential Scholarship.
“Amy is a very versatile
attacking player,” said McPherson College head soccer coach, Doug
Quint, “who has the ability to play many positions. She is strong
on the ball, calm under pressure, and has a nice physical presence
on the field.”
“I expect Amy to have an
immediate impact for us on the field next fall.”
Amy is the daughter of Rich
and Anne Huxtable of Shawnee , Kan. Amy plans to major in art and
biology.
The 5'7” Brennan
has been a three-year letter winner in soccer at Tecumseh-Shawnee
Heights High School under coach Mark Serrano. She most recently
played club soccer for the under 18 Topeka Select Galaxy Club.

Brennan is joined for her letter of intent signing by (front, left)

Colleen also participated
in one season of track & field where she won All-City honors
in the hurdles for the Thunderbirds.
Brennan is a recipient
of the McPherson College Presidential Scholarship.
“We are very excited to
add a player of Colleen's caliber to our back line,” said McPherson
College head soccer coach, Doug Quint. “I expect her to
contend for a defensive
position right away.”
“Colleen is an intense
defender, who tackles well and is very technical on the ball.”
Colleen is the daughter of
Kent Brennan of Topeka , Kan. , and Christi and Jon Hardesty.
The 5'4” Wisdom
played for coach Trey Crow at Salina South, where she also participated
in band.

Joining
Jessica Wisdom for her letter of intent signing are her parents
(front) Sharon and Jim Wisdom along with (back) McPherson College

Wisdom most recently played
club soccer for the KFA Soccer Club.
An outstanding student, Jessica
has been named as a recipient of the McPherson College Presidential
Scholarship.
“Jessica is a very dedicated
young lady, who works very hard, both on the field and in the classroom,”
said McPherson College head soccer coach, Doug Quint. “She will
provide us with much needed depth up top.”
“I am looking forward to
Jessica as part of our women's program.”

Jim and Sharon Wisdom of Salina, Kan.
