2008 Season Recap
Five times during the regular season the Lady Bulldogs played overtime minutes, four of the matches going the maximum double-OT. The Bulldogs were 1-1-3 in the extra period matches, yet completed the regular season with a 9-5-3 overall record.
With a 5-3-1 record in conference play, the Lady Bulldogs finished the KCAC title race in third place. By virtue of their regular season finish, the Lady Bulldogs opened KCAC post-season tournament play on their home pitch where they defeated Sterling 3-1 on penalty kicks after tying 1-1 through two overtime periods. The Lady Bulldogs’ season came to a close in the semifinal round when they dropped a 2-0 decision to host Ottawa University.
Five of the Lady Bulldogs received All-KCAC honors in a recent vote by the conference coaches. Named to the all-conference first team were junior Whitney Williams, Salt Lake City, and freshman Anneliese Rotering, Colorado Springs. Recipients of second team All-KCAC honors was the Littleton, Colo., duo of Andrea Swanson and Haley Cook. Nicolette Rodriguez, Fort Worth, Texas, was named to the all-conference honorable mention squad.
