The following is a list of all signings for the 2007 season
starting with the most recent signing.
Clary
inks with Mac tennis
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Nathan Clary of McPherson, Kan., to a tennis
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 6'2”, 175-pound Clary
played four years for coach Doug Gayer, McPherson College Athletic
Hall of Fame member, and McPherson High's perennial Class 5A state
contenders.

Nathan
Clary is joined for his letter of intent signing by his parents
Janelle and Bruce Clary.
“I am extremely pleased
that Nathan will be playing tennis and studying at McPherson College,
beginning this fall,” added McPherson College head tennis coach,
J.D. Gravina. “Nathan is a great fit for the College and our tennis
program.”
“Nathan really improved throughout
his high school career, and I believe he has potential for even
more improvement. He should contribute toward the top of the lineup
in both singles and doubles.”
“It is great to have a local
player like Nathan to help build the program.”
Nathan is the son of Bruce
and Janelle Clary of McPherson, Kan., 1977 and 1979 graduates of
McPherson College, respectively. Nathan plans to major in business
communications.

Linenberger
signs with Mac tennis
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Alysha Linenberger of McPherson, Kan., and
Lindsborg-Smoky Valley High School to a tennis letter of intent
for the 2006-2007 school year.

Alysha
Linenberger is joined for her letter of intent signing by her mother,
Tina Clark, and McPherson coach head tennis coach, J.D. Gravina.
Linenberger was a 3-year
letter winner in tennis for coach John Bellah and twice in cheerleading
at Smoky Valley HS.
“Signing Alysha is exciting
for McPherson College and our tennis program,” added McPherson College
head tennis coach, J.D. Gravina. “We are filling the roster with
quality tennis players that should be competitive in the conference.”
“Alysha is a well-rounded
young lady, and a great student. She will be successful at McPherson
College, on and off the court, and a great fit for our campus.”
Alysha is the daughter of
Tina Clark of McPherson , Kan. She plans to major in biochemistry/pre-med.

Griggs
signs with Mac tennis
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Mallory Griggs of Colorado Springs, Colo.,
to a tennis letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
Griggs played #1 doubles
for coach Katie Baner at Sierra High School this past season. Mallory
was a two-year letter winner in volleyball as well as tennis at
Sierra HS.
“I am extremely excited to
add Mallory to my first recruiting class,” added McPherson College
head tennis coach, J.D. Gravina. “She should have an immediate impact
on the program at both the doubles and singles positions.”
“I am excited to have her
join us as with continue to build the foundation of the tennis program.”
Mallory is the daughter of
Everett and Mala Griggs of Colorado Springs, Colo. She plans to
major in biochemistry/pre-med at McPherson College.
Mallory's brother Nick was
a 2005 graduate of McPherson College, where he led the Bulldogs
in rushing his senior season.

Buffo
signs with Mac tennis
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Kelsey Buffo of Valley Center, Kan., to a
tennis letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
Buffo was a KSHSAA Class
5A state tournament qualifier in doubles her senior season for the
Lady Hornets under coach Dean Schulz.

Lady Bulldog tennis program.
“I am excited that Kelsey
has decided to commit to McPherson College,” added McPherson College
head tennis coach, J.D. Gravina. “She is an outstanding tennis player,
athlete, and person.”
“Kelsey has been playing
tennis since she was very young, and she has experience playing
at a high level as a state qualifier. She should contribute at both
the singles and doubles positions right away.”
“A lot of hard work went
into the recruiting process with Kelsey, as she was determined to
make an educated decision on her college choice. I feel Kelsey will
fit in perfectly at McPherson.”
“Her family was very supportive
throughout the (recruiting) process. I am looking forward to getting
to know them better throughout Kelsey's college career.”
Kelsey is the daughter of
Bob and Mary Buffo of Valley Center, Kan. Her father played collegiate
tennis for Cowley County Community College.

Hajek
joins Mac volleyball & tennis
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Allison Hajek of Omaha , Nebr., to volleyball
and tennis letters of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
The 5'2” Hajek lettered at
Omaha 's Benson High School in volleyball, tennis, and swimming
as well as Allison was named Benson's volleyball “Player of the
Year” in 2004 and was named “Defensive Player of the Year” her final
three seasons. As a senior, Hajek was credited with 30 ace serves,
302 digs, and 92 kills.

“We are excited Allison has
committed to McPherson College,” said J.D. Gravina, McPherson College
head tennis coach. “She will be a key component as we build the
tennis program from the ground floor.”
“She is very athletic, and
a lot of the skills that make her a good volleyball player also
cross over to tennis. She should contribute at both singles
and doubles for our team.”
“Allison is one of those
players that you know will do whatever she needs to get to the ball,”
said McPherson head coach Nathalea Stephenson. “Her role at McPherson
College will be playing back row.”
“She is smart and reads the
hitters well. Allison also has a nice serve which is sometimes hard
to read by other players.”
“Allison is going to be a
great addition to our team and will bring a strong work ethic as
well. We are excited to have her as a Bulldog volleyball player
for the 2006 season.”
Allison is the daughter of
John and Julie Hajek of Omaha , Nebr. She plans to major in elementary
education at McPherson College.

Wijnen
signs with McPherson tennis
McPherson College has announced
the recent signing of Marc Wijnen of Camarillo, Calif., to a tennis
letter of intent for the 2006-2007 school year.
A 2003 graduate of Westlake
High School, the 5'11” Wijnen was part of two CIF championship teams,
2000 and 2002.
“I'm please Marc has decided
to commit to McPherson College,” added McPherson College head tennis
coach, J.D. Gravina.
“His interest in auto restoration
and tennis made McPherson a great fit for him.”
“Marc possesses a powerful
serve and strong forehand which should allow him to overpower many
players at this level.”
“As his consistency improves,
he will become a nice singles and doubles player for our team.”
Wijnen spent the 2004-2005
school year at Moorpark College in Moorpark, Calif., and will be
classified as a sophomore.
Marc is the son of Alex and
Margreet Wijnen of Camarillo, Calif. He plans to major in automotive
restoration and design at McPherson College .
