McPherson College took a
limited number of athletes to the Bethany College Open last Saturday.
Two highlights of the meet
reported were Tim Cox cruising to a sub-two minute clocking in the 800 meters and
Beth Krehbiel high jumping 410.
This was really a small
meet, said McPherson coach Bart Gray. In the half (800m), it was just
Tim and one girl, but he still went out and ran sub-two all by himself. That
was a great run. I believe he is ready to drop one if he can get in
a race with some other folks ready to run.
It was good to see Beth back
over 410. She also ran both hurdles, but the wind was pretty tough.
This Saturday, the Bulldogs
will travel to
We hope Seth (Cavenee) is
ready to run. Well probably go with him in the 200.
We really need to get most
of those folks a meet, otherwise is will be four weeks between their last one
and nations.
Starting time for both the
track as well as field events at Welch Stadium on the Emporia State University
campus will be 3:00 p.m.
