Honors
Seven individuals, three
relays earn All-KCAC honors
Five members of the McPherson
College track and field team received 2006 All-KCAC first team honors
for their individual or as part of relay teams placing among the
top three finishers of the KCAC track and field championships held
May 5 th and 6 th at Bethany College in Lindsborg.
Leading the way for the Bulldogs
were second place finishers Beth Krehbiel (SR, Pratt, Kan.) in the
400-meter hurdles and the men's 4x800 meters relay team made up
of Sean McCrae (FR, Marietta, GA), Andrew Paull (SO, Kanopolis,
Kan.), Brent Bailey (FR, Simla, Colo.), and Tim Cox (SR, Topeka,
Kan.).
Cox and Bailey brought home
individual third place finishes, in the 800 meters and 1,500 meters,
respectively.
Joining Cox, who picked up
a fourth in the high jump, were Jacob Merrick (SO, Clearwater, Kan.),
Jordan King (FR, Limon, Colo.), and Dan Hudachek (JR, Stillwater,
Minn.) in receiving honorable mention All-KCAC honors for their
fourth place finishes in the 10,000 meters, 110-meter high hurdles,
and hammer throw, respectively.
Krehbiel added two honorable
mention awards, finishing fifth in the high jump and sixth in the
100-meter hurdles.
Bailey and Zane Walker (SO,
Eckley, Colo.) were the Bulldogs' final individual honorable mention
honorees as they placed sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and
high jump.
Nick Shue (FR, Timonium,
Md.) joined with McCrae, Paull, and Cox to finish fifth in the 4x400
meters relay.
Troy McBroom (SR, Manteca,
Calif.), Brooks, Reale (SO, Arvada, Colo.), King, and Shue made
up the Bulldog men's sixth place 4x100 meters relay. Crystal Thomas
(SR, Wichita Falls, Tex.), Callie Coberly (SO, Gove, Kan.), Lacy
Johnston (FR, Arlington, Colo.), and Krehbiel combined to give the
Lady Bulldogs a sixth in the women's 4x100 meters relay.
