Mac spikers fall to Braves

McPherson College's volleyball team fought the good fight, but came up short in three-game loss to Ottawa Wednesday.

Ottawa won 30-24, 30-28 and 30-28, dropping Mac to 2-9 in the KCAC.

"We started out playing pretty well," Mac coach Nathalea Stephenson said. "There were times we were ahead and just needed to finish the game. A positive note is that we didn't let down in the third game and played well enough to win, but just don't have the confidence in ourself to put games away yet."

Leaders on the night were Terra Simoneau (23 assists), Erica Alvarez (8 kills, 8 assists, 2 blocks), Lisa Salazar (7 kills) and Alyssa Rumple (3 kills).

Mac plays Friday at Central Christian.
