Mac spikers fall

Tabor College remained perfect in KCAC volleyball play here Tuesday with a a straight-game victory over McPherson College.

Tabor, 5-0 in the KCAC, won 30-19, 30-23, and 30-24.

"The girls really worked hard and stepped up their play from this weekend," Mac coach nathalea Stephenson said. "Tabor was very aggressive, picking everything up. Each time we step on the court, we want to be better than the time before and I felt we were tonight."

Leaders for Mac were Erica Alvarez (7 kills, 11 tip kills, 3 assisted blocks), Lisa Salazar (3 kills, 4 tip kills, 10 of 11 serving), Andrea Gonzales (3 kills, 4 tip kills) and Terra Simoneau (11 of 11 serving, 38 assists).

Mac is now 1-4 in KCAC play.  It plays Thursday at Saint Mary and Saturday at Bethany.
