FROM STAFF REPORTS
Central Christian College's volleyball team sure got the attention of McPherson College in the first game Friday at the Sport Center.
The Lady Tigers sprang a 30-27 victory on the Bulldogs, who were coming off a key KCAC win over Ottawa.
But the Bulldogs regrouped, winning the final three games 3019, 30-26 and 30-12.
"The Tigers of Central Christian came ready to play," Mac coach Nathalea Stephenson said. "They are a very good team. coach Gordon Reimer is doing a great job with them."
Stephenson said the Bulldogs struggled early on with their serve receive, as they weren't moving their feet. She also gave Central credit for playing inspired and moving very well on its side of the net.
The victory improved the Bulldogs to 10-5 and they'll take a 4-3 KCAC record into the next conference game, which is Tuesday at Tabor, one of the KCAC powers.
