Mac spikers stay on a roll

McPherson College's volleyball team continued one of the great turnarounds in recent KCAC memory here Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs, just 8-19 last year, moved to 17-7 overall and 8-4 in the KCAC with a four-game victory over Southwesten.
After losing the first game 34-32, the Bulldogs bounced back to run the table, 30-22, 30-21, 30-20.
"In game one we just couldn't get untracked," Mac coach Nathalea Stephenson said. "We then took the lead and were up 29-27 needing a sideout to win, and we couldn't put the game away."
But Mac pretty much dominated the rest of the way to continue on its recent roll with its sixth win in the last seven matches.
The Bulldogs should have a good test Thursday when they travel to Salina to play Kansas Wesleyan. The teams played a dandy five-game match at the Sport Center earlier, with Mac winning.
