Admissions Process

 

Enrollment in the Automotive Restoration Technology Program is limited to 45 students with a rolling admissions deadline. Students accepted to the program after the program has reached it's capacity will be put on a waitlist. Students may be accepted to McPherson College and begin taking core courses while on the waitlist.

 

1. Gain admission to McPherson College

• Complete the Application for Admission ($25 application fee is waived for online application)
• Submit copies of all official transcripts (high school and college if applicable)
• Submit official standardized test scores (if applicable)
  

2. Submit completed portfolio (Portfolio should be printed and bound)

• Cover Letter: Letting us know who you are and why you're interested in the program.
• Resume: Outline education, activities, honors, employment, service and leadership experience
• Research Paper: (written in third person) Any topic related to restoration
      *at least three printed resources (not from the internet)
• Letters of Recommendation: At least two letters should comment on potential as a college student by describing education and/or work background. References should demonstrate student's strong candidacy for the Automotive Restoration Technology Program
• Photo journal: Include pictures with descriptions of personal restoration projects and/or automotive work

• Deposit - A $150 enrollment deposit is required at the time of portfolio submission. A $500 deposit is required for international students. (The deposit is refundable if you're not admitted to the program)

 

Applications will be reviewed and students will be notified as to acceptance to the college as well as to the program.

It is possible for applicants to be admitted to the College, but not to the Automotive Restoration Technology Program.
