95% of McPherson College students receive some form of financial aid. Gifts to the scholarship fund help students afford to pursue their dreams. Contact Amanda for more information.
Launched by a group of alumni, the Red Wrench Club is an annual giving effort to help provide a variety of tools and equipment for our shops – from engine rebuilding to trim, from chassis to metalshaping. Contact Amanda for more information.
Sponsor an off campus learning experience for students. Includes trips to concours, auctions and other events around the country where students can view the diversity of the car collecting world while learning about networking, resourcing and judging. Recent sponsorships have included travel to Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance, Mercedes-Benz StarFest 2012, and the AACA Fall meet. Contact Amanda for more information.
Just as students need opportunities to expand their knowledge, so do our faculty! Perhaps you’d like to sponsor a faculty internship. Faculty can apply for funding for short-term experiences at shops and museums across the country, bringing that knowledge back to the classroom. Faculty member Ed Barr, our sheet metal guru, recently spend a few days in a workshop with legendary metal shaper Fay Butler. Contact Amanda for more information.
Over the last 5 years, an average of 85% of our students have participated in internships at museums, private collections and shops across the United States and in Germany. Students return from these experiences with a perspective that can’t be taught in a classroom. Many graduates look back on these opportunities as life and career-changing times, helping them hone in on the path they want to pursue. If you’re interested in funding or hosting an internship, please contact us.
Our career services department assists students with resume building, social and business protocol training, and job searches. A career fair is held at least once a year and potential employers often visit campus to interview for jobs that would not be posted broadly.
