McPherson College is committed to providing a career-oriented liberal arts education. This means “career” must be integrated into McPherson College’s mission to “develop whole persons through scholarship, participation and service”. Career Services commits to giving you the tools you need to be successful in your career.

Scholarship and career align in the seminar system within our curriculum, which includes aspects of career and leadership training. Participation is central to our efforts as nearly 94% of our students participate in a field experience or internship prior to graduation.

Our focus has been to engage all students in experiences that enhance their skills and prepare them for life after McPherson College. Whether it is a resume workshop, protocol dinner, physical therapy internship or service on the Leadership McPherson Board of Directors, students at McPherson College redefine the traditional liberal arts education.

Nearly 50% of all McPherson College students participate in either a field experience or internship like Biochemistry major, Joe Blas, who participated in a ten-week research program at the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases.
