| Dr. Bowman has researched specific content areas within human communication including interpersonal, intercultural, instructional, gender, and conflict communication. She has published and presented her research at national conferences and in international journals. In her ten years of teaching communication courses, Dr. Bowman has been recognized with several teaching awards, including one from the International Communication Association.

| Dr. Clary has taught journalism and editing at the college level for nearly 20 years. He was an early adopter of computer and teaching technology. He was the first McPherson College faculty member to integrate the World Wide Web into his regular courses and taught composition in a networked classroom as early as 1993. He taught McPherson College’s first word processing courses, its first Web design courses, and is now its first instructor in multimedia storytelling techniques.
