From the 3,000 Miles for Peace EP website (www.3kmpep.com) - Before his untimely death, Paul Ziegler had a dream to ride his bicycle across the country, gathering funds and fellow travelers for world peace along the way. Since he cannot do this, his parents partnered with On Earth Peace and hundreds of participants to do it for him.

In 2013 a campaign called 3,000 Miles For Peace began. Events were held across the country in memory of Paul and in promotion of peace. A goal of the project was to raise $300,000 to support On Earth Peace in their mission to support youth peace education, conflict resolution, living peace churches, and nonviolent social change. During this campaign $180,000 of the funding goal was raised.

Seeing not only the opportunity to fulfill her own lifelong dream, but to build on the momentum generated in 2013, Emily James decided to again partner with On Earth Peace for her cross-country ride for the summer of 2015. Thus, 3,000 Miles For Peace EP came to fruition.

Yesterday, Almuni Emily James and Paul's dad Dale Ziegler, rolled into McPherson and onto the McPherson College campus despite the scorching heat and strong winds. Emily has already completed 1,800+ miles of her 4,200 mile trek. Please join us in wishing Emily encouragement, support and prayers for a continued safe journey.
