The newest building on campus, Melhorn Science Hall, provides state-of-the-art facilities to accomplish every day learning and research.
Seven major classrooms, including a 70-seat lecture hall, are located on the main level of the 40,000 square foot science hall. Observation and testing areas for the behavioral sciences are also located on the main level, along with the computer lab. Faculty offices and two seminar rooms make up the remainder of this floor.
Laboratories, research rooms, and storage for biology, chemistry and physics are located on the upper level, along with additional faculty offices. A greenhouse with glass ceiling and wall panels extends out from the back east wall, directly above the lecture hall.
The lower level contains the computer services department, the natural sciences lab, and the mechanical areas. At the center of the building, an elevator and central staircase with skylights connect all three levels. Each floor houses two small lounges, designated lab space, and restrooms to complete the central core.
