On Saturday, April 19, 2008, students enrolled in Dr. Gary R. Entz’s Native American History class made a field trip to Coffeyville, Kansas, to attend the 15th Annual Coffeyville Native American Gathering & Indian Art Market.  In addition to viewing several dances during the powwow, students were able to walk around the city of Coffeyville and see some of the sights associated with the historic Dalton Gang.  The Indian Gathering was the main event, and students were able to see a number of tribal elders participating in a traditional Gourd Dance.
