There are a variety of small ensembles in which to perform combo and chamber music, including the following: jazz combo, flute ensemble, brass quintet, percussion ensemble. These groups perform at a variety of events, including concerts with the College Band, theatre performances, and several off-campus venues. Members of the jazz combo learn the art of improvisation in a safe, nonperforming atmosphere and also learn the major jazz styles of swing, bebop, cool, and bossa nova.
