McPherson College prepares for Homecoming - October 12-14

As weather cools and the air becomes a bit crisp, thoughts turn toward fall and the event called Homecoming. McPherson College is busy preparing for an event-filled weekend on October 12, 13 and 14.

Friday, October 12
Golf Classic Tournament 4-person scramble
7:15 a.m. Turkey Creek Golf course

Honors Convocation – Young Alumni Awards presented
1:30 p.m. Brown Auditorium

Alumni Panel Discussions following Honors Convo
Select locations around campus

Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Reception
7:30 p.m. - Sport Center.

Theatre presentation – “Noises Off”
7:30 – Brown Auditorium (alumni performing)

Saturday, October 13
Bulldog 5K Walk/Run
8:00 at the stadium, registration begins at 7:15; pre-registration is recommended

Bulldog Visit Day for high school students
8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Antique and classic cars will be displayed on the lawn north of Miller Library.
9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Kids of all ages will enjoy the inflatable toys that will be on Mingenback Mall
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Homecoming fair with booths, games, food and fun for kids of any age
10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Miller Library area

Tailgate party lunch for the entire campus, alumni and families
11:30 to 1:15 – Mingenback Mall

Dayton Rothrock Alumni Fellows luncheon
12:00 p.m. – Mingenback Theatre (pre-registration required)

Homecoming football game vs. Haskell Indian Nations University
1:30 p.m. McPherson Stadium – free to the public

Ultimate Frisbee at Lakeside Park behind the band shell - following football game

Alumni soccer scrimmages – McPherson stadium
5:30 p.m. - women, 7:30 p.m. - men.

Alumni volleyball scrimmage
7:00 p.m. – sport center

Theatre presentation – “Noises Off”
7:30 – Brown Auditorium (alumni performing)

Sunday, October 14
Worship at the McPherson Church of the Brethren, 10:00

Brunch at College cafeteria
11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Homecoming Choir & Alumni Concert, reception following in Friendship Hall
2:00 p.m. – Brown Auditorium
