On October 26, 2007 John Nofsinger presented “The Psychology of Investing” at the second annual Harter Business Lecture. The lecture will take place at noon in Mingenback Theatre.
November 16, 2006 Bethany McLean, senior writer at Fortune Magazine and co-author of “The Smartest Guys in the Room: The Amazing Rise and Scandalous Fall of Enron.”
David M. Walker, Comptroller General of the United States was the speaker for the Flory Lectureship in Public Policy on Sunday, March 11, 2007. Walker discussed the United States' four deficits: the federal budget deficit, the savings deficit, the overall balance-of-payments deficit, and America's leadership deficit. 
On April 18, 2004 Judge J. Thomas Marten presented his lecture "And What of the Constitution? An Independent Federal Judiciary in a Culture of Fear."
Author Kim Stafford delivered a lecture, “Better to Wear Out than Rust Out: One Family’s Literary Affection for Kansas,” on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007 in Brown Auditorium.
On Oct 2, 2005 Dr. Modena Wilson presented the lecture “Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Health Care.” 
On Oct 3, 2004 scientist and alumnus Dr. Paul S. Keim presented “Science and Society in the Time of Anthrax.”
On Sep 14, 2003 McPherson College welcomed Holocaust survivor Gerda Weissman Klein.
On October 5, 2006 Balbir Mathur, president and founder of Trees for Life, presented his topic is "Slapped by an angel . . . and other stories. My quest for the meaning of life." 
On March 5, 2006 Dr. William F. Schulz presented his lecture "Terror, Torment, and Tyranny: The State of Human Rights Today."
On February 27, 2005 Dr. Dale W. Brown presented his lecture on the topic “Another Way of Believing, A Theology for Brethren,” based on his book of the same title.
On February 20, 2005 Lawrence H. Hart presented “Sand Creek to Walnut Creek: Cheyenne History and Culture in Kansas 1864 to 1868.”
On October 2, 2004 Dr. Theodore Hiebert presented “Creation, the Fall, and Humanity’s Role in the Ecosystem.” 
On March 7, 2004 Dr. John F. Haught, Professor of Theology at Georgetown University presented “Science, Religion and the Quest for Cosmic Purpose”
On October 19, 2003 Dr. Adrian Melott, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Kansas presented “Origin and Fate of the Universe”
