Physical Education courses are designed to develop majors that can execute a variety of skills efficiently and effectively, who can analyze and critique movement, and who understand the interrelationship of health, fitness, and wholeness in life.

In addition, faculty and staff members bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the classroom. All of the department leaders are associated with intercollegiate athletics, and they are committed to making classroom techniques practical for application.

Recognizing the importance of athletics in the higher education process, McPherson College recently completed a $4.3 million renovation project to existing athletic facilities. Improvements to Bulldog Stadium and its competition surfaces include artificial turf and an eight-lane polyurethane track, now considered the best in the conference.

Students have the opportunity to participate in intra-college and recreational activities through the intramurals program.
