CAmpus Ministry Activities

School-year activities by the Campus Ministries Office and its Student Ministry Advisory Group include:

• An annual campus-wide Red Cross blood drive
• Involvement with the McPherson Habitat for Humanity Chapter
• A KIVA Micro-Loans project to individuals in Third World Countries
• Participation in a community Alternative Christmas Market
• Hosting an annual Regional Youth Conference for Church of the Brethren young people from six states
• Hosting an annual, on-campu JUSTICE Visitor
• A Prayer Around the Pole Service
• An International Day of Prayer Service
• Promoting service and service learning activities on campus, in the McPherson community and beyond
• Ongoing and varied responses to meet the spiritual needs of the campus community.

Special 2009-2010 initiatives under consideration are: 

• a spring break service trip
• work with Main Street McPherson
• developing a campus-wide service opportunity
• working with a Sophomore Seminar group to “plant” a Peace Pole in the city of McPherson
