Wiley and the Hairy Man

This old African-American folk tale was written down during the Great Depression. Set in the swamp of Alabama, the show traces the path Wiley takes to overcome his greatest fears; assisted initially with the help of Mammy’s magic spells, he eventually proves successful aided by his own wits and courage.
