Quilters
Music & Lyrics by Barbara Damashek, Book by Molly Newman and Barbara Damashek
November 6, 7, 8, & 9
Mingenback Theatre; 7:30 Curtain, 2:00 Curtain for Sunday Matinee
A hidden gem for musical theatre lovers, Quilters follows a pioneer woman and her daughters in a series of short scenes brought together to present aspects of frontier life and womanhood. Pieced together to represent the quilt of life, the tableaux from the show deal with loss, life, family and, above all, the strangely disappearing trait called ‘perseverance.’

Stop Kiss
by Diana Son
December 4, 5, & 6
Brown Auditorium; 7:30 Curtain
When a girl from the mid-west moves to the big city, life throws her one curve ball after another. And what starts as an innocent friendship turns into a relationship that everyone feels they have the right to discuss. Eventually, two friends find themselves at a crossroads that will define their future and reshape their past. Stop… or move forward? Kiss… or keep walking? Speak up… or stay silent? Stop Kiss is a traditional story about tolerance told in a non-traditional fashion with a focus on the one event when we stop moving backwards and we start moving forwards.

Rabbit Hole
by David Lindsey-Abaire
January 30 & 31, February 6 & 7
Mingenback Theatre; 7:30 Curtain
Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for its frank portrayal of American life, Rabbit Hole follows five people each going through a different stage of grief after an accident takes the life of a child. Rabbit Hole author David Lindsey-Abaire is recently known by our audiences as the author of last season’s Fuddy Meers, but don’t let that fool you. Rabbit Hole is every bit as heart-wrenching and serious as Fuddy Meers was offensive and funny. This new American award-winning play is a master class of the many facets of grief for those dealing with living life in the face of death.

‘Art’
by Yasmina Reza
March 12, 13 & 14
Brown Auditorium; 7:30 Curtain
Serge, Marc and Ivan are life-long friends. That is, until one of them pays too much money for a piece of art. When somebody pays a fortune for a plain white canvas, is it because they understand the intrinsic value of art...or are they just plain gullible? Does friendship mean keeping quiet or telling the truth? Are your friends who they are, or are they who you think they are? For the play, these are the issues, and at the end, it is a simple lie that saves a friendship. That lie, of course, is as white as the painting itself.

Children of Eden
Music & Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, Book by John Caird
April 3, 4, & 5
McPherson High School Theatre; 7:30 Curtain, 2:00 Curtain for Sunday Matinee
Using the book of Genesis as a starting point, Schwartz crafts a musical tale of events from the Creation up to the Flood. But ultimately, this tale is far more about parents and their children and the generations that follow. From the same composer of Godspell and the Broadway smash, Wicked, Children of Eden shares the moral that the hardest part of love is “the letting go.” Come celebrate the ‘generations of life’ with this unique collaboration with McPherson College, McPherson High School and the members of the McPherson Community!
