Theatre | 30 Years of First Nighters

In celebration of 30 years of First Nighters, as well as Dr. Rick Tyler's accomplishments as professor of theatre, ten theatre alumni were on campus during Homecoming week to rehearse the show, "Noises Off," which they performed for larger than usual audiences Friday and Saturday nights.

Current students who performed the show the weekend prior spent time helping the alumni become familiar with the staging of the show. Alumni performers included Karlene Morphew Tyler '75, Michael Irwin '75, Eric Johnson '89, Adam Smith '94, Jd. Bowman '98, Becki Dilley Bowman '98, Sarah Stover Sackett '00, Dustin Gregg '01 and Katie Sue Nicklos '02. The show was directed by Lora Coffman '89.

Patrons of the theatre were also treated to an exhibition of Rick Tyler's work: more than 30 years of set drawings and design elements, costumes, and photos of past productions artfully displayed in Friendship Hall.
