Entrepreneurship Programs

Mindset, opportunity and experience.

An entrepreneurial mindset helps you better understand the risks and processes involved in any venture. McPherson College offers programs that direct your creative energy toward developing sustainable, innovative ventures that solve problems. Have an idea? Try it! We’ll help you pursue a dream or start a new venture with a micro-grant to support your idea.

Here are some of the entrepreneurial programs we’ve established for our students:

The Horizon Fund provides mini-grants to help students explore or carry out an original entrepreneurial idea. Winning ideas must identify a need and describe a creative way of meeting it. A winning idea should be clearly tied to some community value.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is celebrated each year at McPherson College. It’s an opportunity for entrepreneurial students to show what they’ve been working on, participate in innovation contests for money and prizes, and see great presentations from accomplished entrepreneurs.

Global Enterprise Challenge is a student competition to encourage ideas for social ventures in other countries.

Jump Start Kansas is a challenge to Kansas high school students to invent commercial or non-profit ventures.
