New Student Roadmap - Fall 2019

This guide is intended to help incoming students and their families navigate through the process of becoming a student at McPherson College.

Admissions Counselor

Your admissions counselor is here to help answer any questions that may come up along the way. If you do not know who your admissions counselor is please call today 800-365-7402.


Now that you are accepted to McPherson College your next step is to send in your deposit to reserve your enrollment and housing for Fall 2019.

  • General students: $150. ($100 is applied to your student account. Fully refundable until May 1.)
  • Automotive Restoration students: $250. ($200 is applied to your student account. Non-refundable.)
  • International students: $500. (Fully refundable until May 1.)

You may make your deposit online or mail a check to: McPherson College, 1600 E Euclid, McPherson, KS 67460.

Financial Aid

Complete the FAFSA!
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible to be considered for limited, federally funded aid. Kansas students must complete the FAFSA by April 1st in order to be considered for the Kansas Comprehensive Grant.

What if I am selected for verification?
The federal verification selection process is implemented by the Department of Education. If you are selected for verification, we will notify you of the documentation needed.

Accepting your Financial Aid Award
Award notices are called FANs – Financial Aid Award Notification – When you are notified of a new FAN you need to “accept” your award in order for it to be applied to your account.  Go to BULLDOG CONNECT to view and “accept” your award


March 1 – Priority deadline for McPherson College Scholarships
Merit – Every student who is admissible to MC receives a MERIT SCHOLARSHIP. This award is based on your ACT/GPA.

Student Athletes

NAIA Eligibility – It is the responsibility of the student to submit information to NAIA Eligibility Center ( Official documents are needed for both NAIA and MC. The MC eligibility process is separate from the NAIA process and should be completed prior to your arrival.

Health Insurance for Athletes – Proof of Health Insurance is required for student athletes. For information regarding purchasing insurance through the school, please contact Phil Schoenwetter at

Athletic Fee – All students participating in athletics are charged a non-refundable athletic fee. This fee covers apparel and required secondary health insurance.

Student Services

Student Profile & Housing Application
New students who have paid their deposit may log into Bulldog Connect and complete their Student Profile and Housing Application. The application will ask students to verify their insurance and emergency medical contact, as well as list any allergies or special needs. Students who will have a vehicle on campus will also complete the portion of the application asking for vehicle information so that can receive a parking pass at no additional charge. Housing placements will be completed over the summer and notifications will be emailed to students July 15. Due to the nature of enrollment, housing is always subject to change.

Billing Services

It is important to complete housing, financial aid, and enrollment for an accurate billing statement.  You may view and print your statement from your Bulldog Connect account.

Log in to BULLDOG CONNECT and click on the FINANCES tab at the top of the page. Click on Business Office and then Course and Fee Statement. Select UNDG FALL 2019 from the billing period drop down and then click the Generate My Course and Fee Statement button.

Payment arrangements must be made by August 1 of your enrollment year by completing the Payment Selection Form found on BULLDOG CONNECT. Payment is due August 15th for the fall semester.

McPherson College offers students and families several options to assist in caring for the balance due.

  • Payment Plan – Go to to sign up for monthly payments through TMS.
  • Parent Loan for Undergrad Students (PLUS)

Please view your bill online at BULLDOG CONNECT available after June 1. A paper bill will not be mailed to you.

Enrollment Orientation Days

Freshman Enrollment and Parent Orientation Days
We provide four days for new students to come to campus. Parents are encouraged to attend with their students. Students will be walked through the registration process while parents will have an opportunity to learn more about MC. Staff from Financial Services will also be available to answer any financial aid and billing questions. All new students are enrolled in classes for the first year by an advisor.

UPDATE: Since all of our enrollment orientation dates have past, please contact your admissions and financial aid counselor to enroll in classes for the fall 2019 semester. (Auto Restoration students need not sign up. You will be contacted by the registrar for enrollment.)

Transfer Students
The registrar’s office will coordinate your enrollment with your academic advisor. We must have received your official transcripts and your deposit. Once all required transcripts are received, an academic advisor will complete your enrollment and you will be notified that your schedule is available on Bulldog Connect.

Bulldog Connect

Bulldog Connect is the online portal for all student information, including Admissions, Financial Aid, Billing, and Class Schedules.

Order Books Online

Beginning July 1 students may go online at to order their books for the fall semester. Students should order books prior to arriving on campus.
